"The location of By the Sea is absolutely perfect, situated right on the main square Praça Sousa Oliveira and just steps from the beautiful Nazaré Beach. The staff was also friendly and welcoming during check-in. However, the accommodations fell a bit short in comfort. The rooms are exceptionally small, making it quite difficult to navigate. The rooms are from the second floor up and there is no elevator. Overall it was ok for the price."

"Although Diana was very nice she didn’t help. The hotel is in terrible shape, the photos shown are not from the room we paid for that I may add was expencier. I paid for a room with ocean/sea view and was given a horrible room that faced the street that was incredibly loud at night with an a/c that had a tingling noise and would not cool and a shower that was broken. And of course the hotel did nothing and blame Expedia I have to say that the room did not even had a bottle of water, or any...

"What a stay!! We travel Europe and USA extensively. I have to say this was the most comfortable stay we have ever experienced. The Lobby was comfortable and the staff welcoming and helpful. The room was spotless and comfortable. The view from the room was second to none. The restaurant staff was first class. I could go on and on but you get the idea. We really hated to leave. The hotel management and staff should be very proud of themselves."

"We rented a suite room which was excellent. Bed king size & comfortable. Buffet breakfast was very good with all assortment of foods. Great Location, effort to get my wife to leave. Would highly recommend. Parking on site you need to pay 5/7 Euros can’t remember but well worth it."
