"A beautiful hotel. A heritage building with a great garden. A stylish bar and great views from the breakfast room, A very stylish onsen. Lovely staff. However, though the swimming pool is beautiful, it's not actually deep enough for a proper swim."

"Excellent and luxurious hotel with a fantastic buffet breakfast every day (worth every penny). Location is amazing and the onsen (we booked the private one) was absolutely fantastic. Amazing hotel and we will be staying again!!!"

"The Laforet hotel was exceptionally clean, well maintained and had helpful staff. As the hotel was some distance away, the hotel arranges nearest station shuttle at convenient time. You need to plan ahead for dinner options as the last shuttle pick up is at 6 pm."

"Hotel was great and really enjoyed the onsen being on site. Beautiful views of Mount Fuji! If you have an early train, be sure to book a ride well in advance with the hotel or you may have issues finding a ride. I would also recommend using your own luggage delivery service and not the one provided by the hotel. Sagawa broke our suitcase and we spent the next 3 days in our new location dealing with it."

"We stayed 2 nights at this hotel with our 1 year old and even though she was fussy and it rained the whole time, our stay here was amazing. Such a beautiful property inside and out. The rooms and amenities were super useful. The employees were all so nice and helpful and even though our toddler was going through some teething at the time they never made us feel rushed or embarrassed. The breakfast was phenomenal, literally hit every option for every type of eater. It was pricey but well worth it! The personal onsen in our room was great to have as it helped with the 4am wakes with our little one. I loved the personal touches such as the little bag for our little one, complimentary water, and robes."

"Amazi location, beautiful view, and very friendly and respectful staff. They take their roles very seriously and want to deliver a wonderful and authentic experience for you. The ensuite onsen in the room balcony was absolutely incredible. I spent hours in there! The food was amazing. The breakfast buffet was delicious, but the dinners in the dining hall in the annex were absolutely amazing"

"Location is nice. Close proximity to the bus stop with a Family Mart right next door. 10 min bus ride to the ropeway. The rooms are big and the private onsen was the perfect way to start the morning and relax after a day outdoors. Beer on tap & you can mix your own drinks. Non-alcoholic drinks also available and refreshing."
