Not worth it

First room was smelling badly of mould. The same did the second room. Then the were nice to upgrade us to the of side of the hotel, with sea view. Bedding was worn out with a lot of holes in it, the same for the towels.. The technicians needed 13 min to fix the spa on the balcony. No pool towels available at the pool. They came after an other. 6.40 in the morning drummers started to play at the pool for an event. Will never go back

Cannot recommend this hotel

I spent 3 nights here as it was the joining hotel for a group tour. My first room was on the edge of a mosquito ridden swamp and at dusk the mozzies were coming in under the door. My tv had a volume set at 59. I was moved to another room. Next room had a cracked shower head and water sprayed everywhere at high pressure another English guest had told me about her shower experience and had been shifted to another room. This was fixed after "discussion" with the plumber he got soaked when I turned on the shower . On the third night my room share lady arrived from England and the aircon stopped working she was moved to another room at 9pm. I'd had enough moving and chose to stay put. Considering I'd paid around $140 a night not including breakfast it's the worst place I've ever stayed. The location is good apart from the mosquitos no screens on the doors or mosquito nets on beds. The staff were very helpful and responded to the issues however I wasn't offered a free meal for all the inconvenience . By comparison my first hotel at under $100 a night was very pleasant and comfortable.

Beautiful lagoon-front self-contained hotel, room was spotless, staff the most courteous and helpful I’ve ever met. Lagoon tour (arranged by front desk) was peaceful, full of birds, Captain Rohan a fantastic guide to birds and wildlife. Transportation to Negombo is via tuktuk, driver Asim polite and exceptionally kind (provided tour of Negombo and a short errand for salt and Type G adapter for my travels, Amagi Aria has universal outlets but the rest of Sri Lanka has Type G). Excellent breakfast buffet too!

Convenient & comfortable

Hotel a short drive from the airport. The hotel’s airport pickup & check in was seamless, although we arrived around midnight. The hotel room was clean & comfortable, with a fantastic view from the room balcony, it’s right on the lagoon.

Early flight in the morning to Europe and too much noice of loud music coming come from the bay. I could not sleep the hours I had available at the property, plus when I woke up and turned on the light I saw a big cockroach on the floor running around .... no comment

Arrived and the first room was so full of condensation that the bed was wet and the water was rolling down the wall. They moved us to N upgraded room which was not clean, floor was sticky and bathroom has a horrible smell. We were in transit so the stay was literally 8 hours. We ordered food from the restaurant to have on the balcony and it was over priced and pretty average after a big upsell on how good it would be. Staff were super friendly

We booked a taxi to the airport for the morning of our flight and when we checked out there was no ride available. Along with 2 other groups that Morning. We ended up having to order an Uber to get to our flight. Front desk was over whelmed with more than one checkout at a time. Almost missed our flight.

helpful staff and tranquil environment

After I checked in, I realized that the door could not be locked. At the end, they changed the room for me. The staff was very helpful and tried to help immediately. The facility is quite well maintained except the door. Although the door for the room I stayed in could be locked, it has some damage. The hotel is next to lagoon. The environment is really tranquil if there is no group tourist. The double bed is actually a combination of 2 single beds. I don't actually like it.

There was no fridge in the unit n I needed to put my insulin in the fridge.they said they would bring 1 but never did . I gave them the insulin to put in their fridge. I asked them again about the fridge.then they bought one n plugged it in. They brought my insulin and the box was all wet n one cartridge was broken.as I had 1 extra I didn’t bother complain.after a while I found the fridge was not working at all.i just left my insulin outside. Why they have to put that they probably knew it wasn’t working. At my age I didn’t want any drama n said nothing to them. I was disappointed.

Firstly, when we conducted check-in, they tried to get cash from us, even though we have already paid the all of accommodation fee, through Hotel.com. It seemed that they intentionally tried to receive the money as their personal tip, and when they recognized they failed (I explained that *I have already paid through Hotel.com*), they just said *Sorry*. I think they had some success experiences that they could duplicated accommodation fee, by this trial. I was unpleasant from the beginning. Secondly, A restaurant manager strongly recommend us to choose the buffet, even though we denied many times, due to our queries. He just prioritized his profit and he never respect us. Finally he gave up to change our mind, but he never show professional attitude and just showed childish attitude (after that he just ignored us totally). We were strongly uncomfortable in the restaurant. From those reason, I don’t recommend this hotel and restaurant to anyone at all.
