Great Location

What a great location. Everything from our check in to check out was done with friendly service. Would highly recommend Reggies Guest House as a stop over on your way in or out of Sri Lanka.

Tolles Hotel direkt am Strand

Das Hotel liegt direkt am Strand und bietet alles, was man braucht. Wir haben hier unsere Reise durch Sri Lanka gestartet und sind begeistert gewesen von der Freundlichkeit, der Lage und dem Service. Wir kamen sehr früh morgens an (4.30!!!), so dass noch kein Zimmer zur Verfügung stand, aber uns wurden zwei liegen unter Palmen angeboten, wo wir uns schon mal ausstrecken könnten. Dabei wurden wir vom Personal " bewacht" , was uns gut gefiel. Für 10$ könnten wir einen early Check in vereinbaren, so dass wir bereits um 9.00 unser Zimmer beziehen könnten. Das war super, endlich duschen. Das Zimmer war nicht sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, wir hatten alles nötige und das Bad war gut und alles sauber. Der Service war toll, so wohl im Restaurant - tolles Essen , gute Vermittlung für eine Massage in der Villa Jasmin!!!!!, Organisation des Taxis für unsere Weiterfahrt zu einem fairen Preis.

Budget class kind of experience

This place should belong to the guest house category. Despite the fact that the service was nice to us, expect a budget kind of rooms. The manager waned us not to go out to the beach at night, because we might get robbed or hurt. Breakfasts were OK, but a little boring. On the other hand we had a great view from the window, WiFi, loud fridge and AC. Good place for a short stay before going to / from the airport. If you're fine with the budget class of an accommodation you might like it.

初日は夜到着するので空港近くで手頃な宿泊所として予約しました。 ホテルの方はフレンドリーでビーチも目の前、すぐ近くに遅くまで開いているレストランがあり食事もできたので便利でした。 ただ夜中に帰ったら入口に鍵がかけられ、ベルで開けてもらうことがわからずちょっと困りました。 また部屋のシャワーは水圧が弱くシャワーフックが低い位置にしかなく使いづらかったです。 夜の滞在だけだったので、昼間ならよかったかなと思います。

Séjour raté au sein de The Beach Lodge, nous avions réservé pour deux nuits mais sommes partis après la première. Le service est minimal, les employés ne sont pas la pour les clients mais pour regarder leurs téléphones en attendant les commandes. Service extrêmement lent malgré le peu de clients présents. The Beach lodge était notre dernier stop avant de quitter le Sri Lanka. La nourriture était infecte, le pire repas pris en deux semaines. Mon curry semblait sorti d'une boite de conserve, mais au prix d'un resto 4 étoiles... Au moment de partir (avec une journée d'avance), le personnel ne semblait pas gêné par le fait que nous partions avec un jour d'avance... Le service et la nourriture ne sont que les deux problèmes principaux d'une longue liste: wifi qui ne marche pas, propreté très limite dans les chambre, literie de prison, et plage devant l'hotel pas entretenue... Il faut savoir également que le "DELUXE" n'apporte pas de service supplémentaire, juste une vue sur la mer, que vous payez cher. En resumé, The Beach Lodge n'est rien de mieux qu'une auberge de jeunesse qui couterait beaucoup trop cher.

Vi trivdes jättebra på Beach Lodge. Charmigt och avkopplande. Rummet var rent med ett ganska speciellt badrum!:) Alla var väldigt hjälpsamma. Vi låg i solstolarna hela dagen och blev uppassade, lyx! Nära till flygplatsen! Bra start på vår resa i Sri lanka!
