Liked: beachfront location with a swimming pool right on the beach, coconut trees and sundecks at the pool area, friendly and attentive staff, strong shower with hot enough water, working AC and ceiling fan, switches next to bed, charging ports next to bed, hairdryer received upon request, early check in and late check out (both at noon, instead of later and earlier), simple but sufficient included breakfast set (coffee or tea pot, cut fruits or fruit juice, toast with butter and jam, sausages or tomato, and choice of eggs), well maintained pool area. Special shout-out to Ruan who was ever helpful and kind during my 3-night stay. 👍👍👍 Disliked: my room 101 wasn't very clean, especially the bathroom, AC was making loud sound till I had to turn it off at night to sleep, no mini fridge. Also, no toiletries provided save for a small bar soap.

Hübsches Hotel direkt am Strand

Haben nach einer Unterkunft für die letzten beiden Tage gesucht. Wir können das Hotel wirklich empfehlen. Die Zimmer sind nett eingerichtet, sauber und das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit. Ein perfekter Abschluss unseres Urlaubes. :-)

have stayed here before and will stay again. staff helpfull yet not pushy or in your face. right on the beach. you can get most things you need within walking distance. yet a long way to the far end of town where better restaurants and shops are. breakfast good. mixed juices are tops. value for the price of rooms.

Star Beach Hotel—All Good

I have stayed at 2 other hotels in Negombo—the Star Beach was the best, especially when you consider cost and included breakfast. Staff are very helpful and considerate. I went out for my meals, so I can't comment on meals except for breakfast which was fine. Not buffet style. They do not have a pool but a small piece of sandy area with easy access to the beach/Indian Ocean. I stay for 3 nights by myself and always felt secure.

,The location is good but the hotel is filthy!

This hotel is filthy,The rooms are dark and musty, the shower room smells of raw sewage, lots of cockroaches, the tap was hanging from the sink and the shower is a trickle. The mugs provided for Tea and coffee had dead dried insects in one mug ....we didn't use them!The staff are also rude and unhelpful,apart for one nice man who served us breakfast. The hotel is way overpriced,.On our return journey to Negombo we stayed in a spotless room for half the rate!

Needed to be near airport

I had no trouble checking in as they were expecting me. Even allowed check in early. Comfortable room very clean and refreshed every day. Kettle and tea / coffee provided to make drinks. On a negative point 2 small tea bags or coffee not really enough per day for a hot climate. Staff very friendly with excellent english. The big negative point is the lack of a swimming pool but for a small fee you can use the one 100 metres down the beach at golden starbeach hotel

Beachside hotel with O.K room

Great location on hotel strip, near city centre. Directly at the beach, with private beach area, bar and lounge terrace. Breakfast is good. Room wasnt tidy and lots of mosquitos and stray dogs.

レストランも有りますが、オーダー取りに来るのも出てくるのもとても遅い。部屋はエアコン完備でコストパフォーマンスは良いです。ただ長期滞在用のホテルと言うより、空港からのアクセスが良い為到着日、帰国日に一泊するのには良いかも

Basic but good

Straight forward clean basic budget hotel. Did not arrive until 2 am despite gate being closed they had someone there waiting for me to check me in. Staff was helpful and pleasant, breakfast was decent, beach glorious. Would recommend for a shortvstay.
