Green House on the River, Walk to Gruene Hall!

Located on two acres with 100 feet of Guadalupe River frontage walking distance to Gruene. Property has two large decks facing the river and views of the iconic Gruene Watertower. Rent a tube from our neighbor Rocking R or bring your own toys for a private river launch which is ground level no steep stairs to deal with.. World famous Gruene Hall & several wineries are right around the corner. Green River house has the best location on the Guadalupe river and is the closest home to the rapids and bridge on Gruene Road.. Our guests enjoy a sense of privacy and nature in an immaculate setting. House has two levels. Each level has decks running the length of the home. The first level has two bedrooms, two private baths. The kitchen is located on the main level. There is no den, but the decks can serve as one. The second floor has a loft area with no bathroom but offers one queen size bed & one single small futon. The upper deck has incredible views of the Guadalupe river, with plenty of new comfortable patio furniture. Beneath the house is a large covered area for outdoor dining, provided is a brand new grill, picnic table and plenty of seating.
Walk to the river from your own back yard. Enjoy private river access and enjoy shallow running water. To the right you will find fast flowing rapids, on the left deeper calmer water.
PLEASE NOTE: IN ORDER TO MAKE A RESERVATION GUESTS MUST PROVIDE A GOVERNMENT ID PRIOR TO MAKING A RESERVATION.
All service dogs welcome.

Parking is soley on the gravel driveway not the grass.

The property was great and the house was very clean. Do to the recent floods we weren’t able to float directly from the property. The location was amazing and a short walk to Rockin R and Gruene. We saw a herd of deer every night in the yard. Will definitely stay here again.

Perfect location in Gruene!

The house was perfect and just a short walk to Gruene. We brought our RTV to drive into town. River access was very close. We enjoyed the area under the house to hangout, along with the balcony. We will definitely stay here again.

Perfect little stay!

Loved our stay! Especially the outside sitting on the balcony and on the ground floor! Short walk to the river to a nice secluded area. Loved the floor layout of the house too!

Green house in Gruene!!!

This property is adorable! The beds are comfy and the outdoor seating area under the house was a great place to relax for the evening! I think the price was a little high for the quality of the place, but would definitely book again!

The house was in a central location with reaturants and shopping in walking distance. Plenty of space for the kids and adults. Nice firepit outside The price of the house was acceptable but I find the fifty percent in additional fees and charges excessive!

Great weekend!

Really enjoyed the location of This house, right across the street from tubing, great well lit downstairs area to hangout, and a quick walk down to the water to relax. I would say more so sleeps 7 comfortably. Overall enjoyed the stay and house was well stocked with cookware and nice extras like coffee!

Greune Getaway

Great location, place was big enough and ok but pretty run down. The AC worked well and the location is walking distance to Greune. There isn’t a living area which is a little weird because there isn’t a place for group to gather. We had no issues with check in or anything at property.

Perfect location to walk into Gruene or float river

The house was great, has everything you need. Good beds, nice linens, bath towels and kitchen items. The patio was super cute and relaxing. House was very clean and really worked well for us with 4 adults and 2 teenagers, there is no living room, kitchen area is the main common part of the home but plenty of seating. The walk to town is just 5 minutes to Gristmill or Gruene Hall, literally cross the street and it's up the hill. We liked the Cantina del Rio too! So if you have plans in town this is the perfect location to not have to figure out parking, and if your floating the river it's ideal....you are directly next door to Gruene River Company, and Rocking R is across the street. The only drawback I would say is that yes it is riverfront but rocky. It's right where the rapids are and might be tricky with small children or older family members. It's not a grassy bank on the river, it's rocks.

Not What I Remembered

We stayed at this property about seven years ago. Property was not the same from last time I visited. Large tubing outfit next door. Trash from their activity was scattered around the yard. Lawn man showed up at 9am on Saturday morning and blocked driveway with trailer. He then began to mow for two hours straight. We could not sit outside because of dust and dirt flying around. Weekends are prime time..yard work should be completed on off days. House stayed hot. A/C just could not keep it cooled off. Won't go back.

Unique Property in GREAT shape and walkable to downtown Gruene!

Christina was great in helping us work through some booking glitches with VRBO. Tree House was a great place..walkable to downtown Gruene and on the very near the River. Two spacious bedrooms and a nice loft up top with private balcony looking toward the river. All have nice beds with King in Master and queens in others. All have TV's in rooms. One note....for larger groups...the only common area was the kitchen.( no living room) There was a LOT of outdoor living space with the deck and below the home was a grill with two picnic tables and two patio tables with 8 chairs. It was too cold for us to utilize the outdoor areas which would really open up the common areas. We didn't see a broom anywhere so we couldn' sweep up after ourselves and there was no garbage can either other than in the kitchen but other than that the place was PERFECT. We would love to stay here during warmer weather!

Fantastic home in the heart of Greune! We were in for my step daughters wedding with reception being very close by so weren’t able to fully enjoy the house. The beds were comfy, kitchen stocked and a beautiful view of the river! Thank you for a wonderful home that worked so perfectly for our busy weekend.
