Bed was comfy. I set the a/c way down when I got in the room, so it was nice and cool. Big storms overnight, but I slept like a baby. Appreciated the fridge to keep my water cold. The halls and especially breakfast area were hot and humid. My bathroom was not clean when I arrived. I literally had to clean it before I could shower and go to bed.

The person at the front desk, who I think is the manager or owner had very bad bedside manners. Not helpful. Poor English. Didn’t offer any information. I had to ask how to get to the room even. The room: bed sheets were clean, but cover had stains. Side of bed falling off, dirty towel on back of the bathroom door, somebody else’s food left in the fridge. Pieces of trash and a hair pin, hair and dirty/ fuzz all over the carpets. They didn’t even try to vacuum. Bathroom floors, counter & tub covered in hair and dust. Small Hair shavings from numerous stays. Bath tub also had hairs. We stayed to even get basic breakfast. It was shut down at 9a. I’ve never seen one shut down so early, my fault, but I assumed they would keep it open until 10a. I realize this is a very cheap hotel and I stay at these often while traveling, but I don’t know how this place has the ratings it has. It should be 1-2/5, not 7/10 or 3/5. My basic need is safety and clean … AT LEAST CLEAN FOR BASIC SANITATION.

This was an older Super 8 that was fine for a one-night stay traveling through Iowa. The staff was friendly.

The bath tub/shower appeared looked aged and dirty, to the point my girl friend decided to not shower. The sink didn't have a stopper and down the tube went her tooth paste cap. That didn't get the morning started very well. The man at the counter didn't even look up at me when I laid the door key down to check out. zero acknowledgement that I existed.

We used the online check-in only to be required to do it all again when we arrived. The A/C was shut off and the room had a musty smell upon arrival. Shower curtain rod was falling off, possible signs of mold in bathroom. Didn't clean room 1st day, 2nd day, they changed out towls moved shower curtain, put ice buckets back to the sink, around all my personal items but failed to provide more coffee packets or make the bed. I would not recommend. Would have left but all other hotels in town were booked.

The room smelled like mildew and the main office smelled like weed. The front desk let his homeless buddy just chill in a seat with a blanket all night while watching movies on his phone. The bed was comfortable but that’s the only positive I have to say

Bad motel

Bed bugs ,dirty sheets , un clean, hateful staff. Dirty coffee maker. Micowave dirty. I refused to stay there and they refused to refund my money.

If you can pick an alternative, DO IT

The entire hotel had an odd smell, the towels were threadbare, the toilet ran, water pressure was bad and would fluctuate from boiling hot to ice cold no matter what temp we had it turned to. Window lock was broken so a pipe was wedged in the sill to keep it closed. Hooks on the curtain were bent so there was a gap in the curtains. The mattress sagged and was lumpy.

This property was very rundown. The sheets on the bed were so thin was like covering up with toilet paper. Our towels were thin and had holes in them. We asked for maid service and nothing was touched in our room. I would have thought the Wyndham would have gone in and tried to clean up or at least purchase new bedding and towels

I was most unhappy with the service. Rooms were not touched until I spoke up on the Wednesday (4 days into my stay). I stayed Saturday-following Sunday (8 nights), and they didn't give me clean towels except when I threw the dirty ones in the hallway (like everyone else was doing). My bed wasn't made until Wednesday, after I complained I needed new towels. It was very inconveinent. The breakfast bar was okay. Not "horrible" but overly exciting - the bananas were brown. It was in a conveinent location, to Knoxville Raceway - easy 30 minute drive. Be prepared to drive to Altoona, if you want more options for food - as there's very limited places in nearby for food - a subway, a perkins, a KFC/taco bell, a Casey's - that's it.
