Wellington Temple Bar

10/10 Excellent

"This little gem in temple bar is fantastic all you need for a few days away central city location a very warm welcome and top drawer staff that made everything so easy from getting me settled in to serving wonderful full on irish breakfast with a creamy pint of Guinness so it’s definitely worth the visit and I Hav to mention David the bar manager who is a man on a mission to look after everyone he had time for everyone who crossed his way a wonderful warm persona much missing at hotels today 5stars all day and thank to all at The wellington for making my time in Dublin fantastic 👍👍👍👍👍"

Travelodge PLUS Dublin City Centre

10/10 Excellent

"This small room had everything needed for a one night stay after arriving in Dublin. It would likely be comfortable for a few nights if most of your time was out of the room, only because the room is a little tight for space. The bedding and towels were fantastic. There were bedside outlets, a hairdryer, large tv, closet, and a full length mirror. The hotel stored our luggage after we checked out. The location is ideal for exploring the Dublin attractions. The Dublin airport bus drops off a block from the hotel."

Clayton Hotel Cardiff Lane

8/10 Good

"The hotel is very well located in the heart of Dublin, although this does come with the challenge of limited parking options. The hotel has an agreement with a nearby car park that offers a discounted rate; however, I only learned about this at check-in, after I had already parked my car. It would be much more helpful if this information were clearly communicated in the pre-arrival emails, rather than focusing mainly on promotions for pizza, restaurant, or prosecco packages. Aside from that, the stay was very enjoyable. The restaurant was good, and the breakfast was superb. A special mention goes to the lady in the restaurant (unfortunately, I didn't catch her name), who was fantastic with my child and provided such attentive and caring service. The beds were comfortable, but the sound insulation between rooms could be improved. We could clearly hear the couple in the neighbouring room, which was particularly uncomfortable when travelling with small children. Overall, a good stay with excellent food, friendly service, and a fantastic location, but better communication about parking arrangements and improved soundproofing would make a significant difference."

The Mercantile Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"The hotel is within walking distance of much of downtown Dublin. Trinity College is a few blocks away, as is the Temple Bar district. Guiness and The Liberties are less than a mile away. The hotel is unique (look for the portraits). Do get the breakfast, it's excellent and will fuel you for a day of walking and sightseeing. The hotel and rooms are very clean (although the rooms, like many in Europe, are fairly tight) and the staff was most helpful. Would book again next time we're in Dublin."
