The Cliff Hotel

"We travel to the area regularly to visit family and thought we would give the Cliff a go versus our usual chain hotel choice. Overall our stay was good with a few caveats. The good bits: Restaurant was nice with a pleasant atmosphere food good and reasonably priced, bar prices were also very competitive especially for a hotel, room was well appointed and spacious with a huge bed, cleanliness was good overall. The breakfast was very good and hot items are cooked to order. The not so good: Sound transmission between rooms is dreadful, some areas of the hotel are a bit tired, an alarm going off intermittently in the early hours was not welcome and ruined our nights sleep. Car parking is limited and on the second night we had to park some distance away on the road. Would we stay again? Yes possibly but only if we upgraded to a room on the other side of the hotel and at a quieter time when parking is easier."

"The view of the massive sandy beach was fantastic from our bedroom & the outside terrace. The food was well cooked & presented. The breakfast was especially good with plenty of choice. Staff were pleasant & helpful. Found the lift a bonus."

"We went for my mother's birthday as an extended family (with dog) and the house was amazing. Plenty of space for being together or separating into small groups. The hot tub was fab, kitchen fully furnished. All bedrooms and bathrooms were immaculate, Right on the beautiful beach and only a short drive to other towns, Lots of local take aways plus a BBQ at the house. One parking space available at local hotel (2 mins walk) and lots of on street parking around property. Already talking about going back next year!"

"Fantastic location Gorleston on sea gorgeous.Turnstone house is a lovely place very spacious,,,,the lounge could do with new furniture we found the sofa and arm chairs very uncomfortable and looked well dated.Beds were very nice and we slept well.When we arrived there was no welcome pack, I think that would of been a nice touch to say welcome.One thing i will say is there is a lot of Cactuses around the house which was a worry with small kids about.Overall we did enjoy our stay barring the things mentioned"
