The only thing that could have made it better were having another person working at check in, I waited in a long line for more then 20 mins. With only 1 person checking guest in. Was there for an event in the area so to me it would make sense to have plenty of staff during those times. But overall it was a good stay. "

"A little bit disappointing, but not bad. Would give them 6/10. PROS:Excellent communication with host. Location is goodStreet is very dog friendly for walking. We appreciated the fenced yard but previous guests have not picked up after their pets and it definitely needs to be cleaned. House and beds were comfortable. CONS:House needs a lot of maintenance, touch ups and a couple gallons of paint. The front door knob just fell off. Pushed right back in but makes you question security. Powder room door is also just hanging on. All of the blinds had broken slats, one bedrooms’ wouldn’t even close. Curtains look fresh out of the bag. Paperwork needs to be corrected. House rules had contradictory and unclear information. Overall, owners need to put in some work before it will be considered a highly rated property. "

"The apartment is an older building, but in an area which was easy to get to and easy to get to downtown Raleigh. I did have to clean the kitchen some before using. The pots had some food residue from a previous renter and there were some sticky spots on counters and tables. One thing which would help renters keep things clean would be to have more dish soap available, there was a small amount in the kitchen, but I had to go purchase dish soap to be able to clean our dishes after eating. The kitchen had eating utensils, etc. but if you are wanting to cook anything from scratch you will need to bring cooking equipment. Especially if you plan on using the oven. The only items we found for putting anything in the oven were some pizza pans and you will need to bring oven mitts in order to pull items safely from the oven. One of the reasons we decided on this property was that no pets were allowed. So we were a bit concerned when the posting in the apartment did mention animals were allowed with a service fee. We are not sure if the allergy issues members of our group were having were because animals had been in the apartment or just from NC allergens. We would have been more comfortable with a few more blankets. One of our kids opted to sleep on the couch instead of sharing the fold out bed with her brother. We had blankets we had brought along on our trip, but the blankets provided are only enough to have one on each bed. "
