Amazing location & very clean!

It showed it's age but it is clean & in a great location. I'm extremely picky but I would stay there again because of the location and cleanliness. I felt safe there too. I was looking for a place to sleep & shower. They do have free WiFi, cable tv, a mini refrigerator, microwave & coffee pot if you plan to just sit in your room.

The only thing I liked: near beach. Charged me for a hotel room I DID NOT STAY IN. i called them up and they didn't RECOGNIZE my reservation through Expedia. Come to find out, they had my room and key but there was no one there to help me get my key. The man told me i had to pay when I got there. Well, I got there and no one to accept me to give me my key and my room. To top this off, i called up emergency contact. WRONG NUMBER. Yes, my review isn't good but maybe another day. I really don't know whose fault it was: Expedia or High Tide Motel. Since I'm the customer using Expedia and tried to get this motel, I'm right and everyone else is wrong.

The facility is showing it's age but it was clean, comfortable and the staff was friendly and accommodating. There is so much to do in the area we just needed a place to put our stuff and crash at the end of each busy day. for that it was perfect.

The best price on the beach!

The motel was well priced. It was the cheapest lodging along the beach. It is directly across the street from the beach, so leaving your room and walking to the beach is totally doable! The room was spacious, and included a small microwave, refrigerator, and coffee pot. There was duct-tape as a repair in the closet, but that just made my husband and I laugh and call it home for the week. We will stay here again if we come back to the area.

Across the street from the beavh

Hotels are expensive during the summer in Myrtle Beach (dish). Do you can’t expect s lot for around $100 per night. High Tide is just across the beach which is nice, and has friendly staff. But, otherwise it’s old and showing it’s age.

Room 102. It is an older property but it was clean. The air conditioning was cold once you figured out the remote did not work. I had to stand on a chair to reach the controls on the unit. There was no tv, none, nothing, no cable, no reception at all. The bed was very uncomfortable because of the old bed spring mattress. My back went out because of it and I had to go to the chiropractor. No exhaust fan in the bathroom and no screen on the bathroom window. I appreciate the price ($100 a night in July) but customers still need to be comfortable. We are an elderly, disabled couple and appreciated being on the ground floor. We had to get a room in a hurry and this was it. Check in person was very pleasant. Hope the owners get a windfall so they can fix it.

Bathroom leaks

The bathroom was leaking very badly if someone took shower upstairs, dinner room also leaking, when is raining, I'm not recommended to anyone else this motel, if you're looking to stay here please avoid room 107

Good for the price and location

It was over all a good stay. We tried to the area for a memorial service, but also made it into a mini-vacation for us. This was our first time out of town as a couple. The motel itself was in good condition. The staff was nice. We did have some loud teen/or younger 20's guests beside us until about 2 am, but nothing too unbearable. The room was open, and had plenty of room to move around in. It was clean and smelled clean. Everything was in working order. I would stay again.

It reminded me of somewhere I would have stayed in college on a girls trip if I was completely broke. The room smelled horrible. I tried to get a refund but they don’t give refunds! The staff wasn’t available when needed. All around, terrible experience. And it wasn’t a cheap stay. Save your money and go elsewhere!

Run down, the check in gal looked like she was in rehab with tatoos on her neck, the staff looked rough, they were more worried about smoking with their hand around friends the hotel lacks pride for it's guests. Go elsewhere

Bike weekend

Nice enough motel. It was clean but smelled of stale smoke. The deadbolt did not lock so we did not feel secure leaving our stuff in the room with just the doorknob lock. The bathtub had some interesting water knobs but they functioned okay. The staff was very nice and helpful.
