"Hotel Laxa is located by lake myvatn, a little further away from all the farmhouses which puts in a quiet location with views all round of Myvatn and still convenient. The staff at hotel are extremely helpful and friendly. They have a nice bar with quiet places for work and a game room as well. I stayed for 3 nights and loved it, and would highly recommend."

The front desk staff helped me ask the hotel restaurant to hold a spot while I get ready. I cannot overstate how helpful this was. (You'll find this super helpful when travelling through Iceland!). "Limited availability of dinner, we did not have dinner. The shower was so small that I would touch the shower curtains with every minor move. The flushing of toilet was associated with a jet-engine like thunder, so in order not to make my wife up I didn’t flush the toilet for whole night and drain it with pouring water instead. There were tons of annoying flies outside. Not a very pleasant experience"
