Absolutely can't fault Yare Cottage; beautiful location, great local amenities and neighbours, impeccable cottage and wonderful owners. There were 6 of us staying (4 adults and two teens) and our dog, and the cottage was just the perfect waterside idyll - we will definitely be back. Thank you Tony xx

We had an excellent week here, large amount of welcome goodies was a lovely touch.
We had an excellent week here, large amount of welcome goodies was a lovely touch. Couldn’t get one of the showers to work properly and this was resolved by owner coming out one evening (later problem with other shower couldn’t be resolved as it was an electrical fault). To be honest, neither of the showers were very powerful but we coped 😂 Good equipment and games/puzzles for the kids, owner was very helpful with directions and query on heating. Excellent river views, we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Cottage has a cosy home from home feel to it.
Cottage has a cosy home from home feel to it. The view is atmospheric and compelling (our binoculars were well used!) We loved the quietness that you get from Reedham being somewhat off the beaten track. Excellent local pubs - dog and people friendly! Good food too! Owner very helpful and caring.
I stayed in this cottage with my Mum & 2 boys (age 5&6) & we had a wonderful week. It was very comfortable & well equipped. There is plenty of parking outside the front of the cottage which was never that busy. It’s located in a lovely peaceful village and the views of the river and beyond are wonderful. The village has two great pubs, a good fish & chip shop, local shop & cafe all within a couple of minutes walk. We found plenty of places to visit in the area, all within a 30 minute drive, including Great Yarmouth, Pettitts Adventure Park & we also visited Fairhaven Woodland & Water Gardens which is well worth a visit. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would definitely stay here again.

This was a truly lovely cottage in a beautiful location on the River Yare.
This was a truly lovely cottage in a beautiful location on the River Yare. The cottage was really clean on arrival and the little welcome pack was a really nice touch. The beds were comfy and the two toilets and showers made for very convenient facilities. The kitchen was spacious and well-equipped and the enclosed garden was ideal for the dog to just wander around an explore. Excellent wifi and and a nice large TV. The views are amazing and the are was so quiet even though the railway is fairly close by..... not that I worried about that because I love railways. All in all a lovely relaxing holiday in very comfortable accommodation. We definitely will be back.

Family break
This is a beautiful house that is set right on the water's edge. It is remote enough so that you can enjoy the peace and quiet, yet only 20 minutes from Great Yarmouth and Norwisch-ideal! The house is beautifully maintained and very clean and tidy. Tony is an excellent host and his communication with us prior to and during arrival was excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending this cottage to others. It is suitable for families of 5, or 3 couples (as long as one couple doesn't mind bunk beds. Great amenities in the village including 3 pubs within 2 minutes of the cottage (both serve good food) a terrific café 1 minute walk from the cottage with awesome cream teas and a local shop selling all the necessities should you run out, oh and a chippy on Thurs, Fri & Sat nights!! What more could you want?

A lovely dog friendly cottage.
A lovely dog friendly cottage. No worries with letting my dog out into the garden - completely secure, although advisable to have your dog on the lead before exiting the front gate as unfortunately a few cars do speed along the little road in front of the cottage.
Loads to do in the area for all age groups. Can't comment on the local pubs as didn't end up using them.
I did notice that the ferry at Reedham had a special price for 10 trips. Might be worth considering if staying and travelling around the area for a couple of weeks.
Overall I couldn't fault my stay at Yare cottage-so much so I will be returning again next year, but this time for 2 weeks!
