"The Red Pony Cottage was awesome. We had such a great stay. Perfect spot for all our hiking destinations. We couldn’t have asked for more. Diana was a fantastic host. The animals are so cute along with her dogs. They made the stay even more enjoyable. This is a great location to be able to get to the San Juan mountains, Ouray, Telluride and more. And also the smoke from the fires was not bad at all. If we come back to Montrose we will definitely stay here again."

"Very pleasant! Secluded to point I could imagine being anywhere. I have a walking disability and was disappointed that the cabin was not as accessible as I had hoped, but I coped. Best feature is huge deck overlooking grassy yard where a Mule Deer doe visited each evening and morning. We spent all time at cabin outside! Fluffy comforter was nice, too! (For the disabled, please note: Entry step too high, bed too high and toilet too low. I carry a 4" step in my car which I used at entry. However, my adaptive toilet seat, which I also travel with, would not go on the tiny toilet. There are no grab bars anywhere, so NO shower, and I had to rearrange the kitchen a bit in order to gain access to deck thru sliding door with my Rollator.)"

"Very nice place and close to everything we wanted to do. Felt very much like a home away from home. Because of the drought the lake was a little low but was still beautiful and would love to see the property when not in drought. We enjoyed watching the geese and other water birds on our walks around the lake. The sunsets over the lake are amazing."

"My husband, teenage son and dogs stayed here for 4 nights and had a lovely time. The home is modern, spacious, clean and comfortable. The host was very responsive and accommodating. They even left small vials of lavender oil for us to take home and dog bones for our pups! Highly recommend this home as a basecamp for your adventures in the area. It's 35 minutes to Black Canyon of the Gunnison and 5 minutes to downtown Montrose."
