"People were great!!! They made us feel at home and even brought a band to play some nice Christmas songs for all the guests. I must mention however that there is no electricity during the day. Thank you all for your kindness."

From Bagan, go watch the balloons take off at sunrise! It’s beautiful! Be sure to tell your driver to take you to see the balloons in flight, not to watch the balloons take off - there is a big difference.

Nyaung-U is and feels like a small town. It is an excellent base to visit the many pagodas of Bagan. The balloon ride, while expensive, was a superb experience.
