Charming merchant's house in central Nysted

Welcome to our enchanting merchant's house in Nysted.



We are delighted to welcome you to our truly special merchant's house – a protected historic property filled with history, charm and character.



Over the years, the house has been home to both a veterinarian and a talented ceramic artist, and its creative spirit still lives on. Several of the artist's works can be found throughout the enchanting garden, where old trees, flowers and cosy corners create a truly unique atmosphere.



When we bought the house in 2021, we immediately fell in love with its unique character. Since then, we have carefully preserved its original charm while creating a place where family and friends can gather, relax and make lasting memories together.



The large dining room is the heart of the house. A long rustic dining table provides seating for everyone and is perfect for long dinners, board games, creative projects or simply enjoying time together. The cosy living room invites you to relax with a large TV, while the kitchen naturally becomes the gathering place of the house. From here you have direct access to the veranda and the beautiful garden, where you can enjoy your morning coffee, read a book or simply listen to the birds.



The garden also features a beautiful old barn offering plenty of possibilities. It is ideal for creative activities, games, yoga, small workshops or simply as a place where both children and adults can enjoy themselves.



All beds are new and carefully selected to provide a comfortable night's sleep. In the basement you will find a washing machine, tumble dryer and an extra refrigerator. There is also plenty of space for children to play, together with a wide range of equipment for families with young children, including cots, high chairs, a stroller, changing mat and baby bathtub.

The merchant's house is located in the heart of Nysted, one of Denmark's oldest and most charming market towns. The town is known for its cobbled streets, beautiful historic houses, cosy marina and stunning views across the water towards Aalholm Castle. Here you will find cafés, restaurants, an ice cream shop, a lovely beach and a relaxed atmosphere where life naturally slows down.



Nysted is also an excellent base for exploring the rest of Lolland, with its forests, beaches, manor houses, cycling routes and many exciting attractions.
