Fully furnished and ideal for 1 couple with this one bedroom apartment. There is a extra bed in the corner of an open area that’s not private for an extra guest or if you want to sleep separately.
Our Central Maine Town of Oakland offers four seasons of fun all within minutes of our location!

Comfortable apartment while visiting Colby

Our hosts were especially gracious and helpful. Stayed 4 nights to attend athletic event at Colby College. The apartment is exactly as pictured in photos. Clean and comfortable with all amenities. Interior stairs to reach apartment.

Cozy and Quaint Stay

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Gary and Irma were great hosts. Loved the hand written welcome card, box of goodies, k cups, and some fresh eggs in the frig. Bed was comfy and perfect location to visit our son for Homecoming weekend at Colby. We will definitely stay here again!

We found the apartment very clean and comfortable. Gary and Irma are very responsive hosts who went out of their way to make sure we had a good experience. We had an issue initially that they promptly resolved. We especially enjoyed all of the thoughtful touches, particularly the food items in the kitchen.

Quiet, cozy and comfy!

We enjoyed our stay. The host provided a goodie basket with wine and I was pleasantly surprised to find basic breakfast items in the fridge. After a long travel day, those items were lifesavers. Quiet and comfy - very relaxing.

We had a wonderful week in Maine. The pond on Irma & Gary's property is so peaceful. The apartment more than met our wants. It was truly a home away from home as everything we could possibly need was provided.

This place is exceeds expectations.

This place was the best we have stayed in as far as Vrbo’s go. Gary and Irma had nice little touches with the little things like fruit, cookies, eggs to cook, and coffee. Great base camp for lower middle Maine

We wanted for nothing at this rental. It was immaculately kept and very well stocked. I’ve never stayed anywhere the owners have thought of and provided so many items one usually needs to pack or go out and buy. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. Gary and Irma are great hosts.

Thoughtful Hosts

Irma and Gary have thought of absolutely everything we could need and even some things we didn’t know we needed! A basket of wine and treats greeted us. The unit is very clean, comfortable, towels are plush, and the kitchen is very well supplied. We imported dinners from good Waterville restaurants and enjoyed them in this cozy apartment.

This property is Fantastic! All the comforts of home, with amenities we did not expect. Some food items in cupboard(soup, oatmeal,pancake mix…) Eggs, butter, milk, water, apple sauce in fridge! A fully stocked kitchen with silverware, pots, pans, and all kinds kitchen appliances. Even a bottle of wine! Comfy bed and bathroom was stocked with all necessities, in case you forgot anything! Plush bath towels, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. Hosts were very fast to respond to all questions. They really thought of everything. If you are planning to be in the area this is a definite must stay!!

Small Town Peacful Living

I have never had a better stay than here in Oakland. My first day when I checked in the key was in the key box and I already had the combo to open it. When I walked in I felt like I was walking into my Nanas House everything was immaculately clean but at the same time just cozy and peaceful. I felt like I was with family and not alone like I was. I walked into the kitchen and on the counter was a card welcoming me as well as 2 small bottles of wine some chocolate covered macaroons, a bowl full of raisins and some homemade banana bread with directions on how to heat it up. The bedroom had big bed a walk-in closet a chase lounge a desk with directions on how to connect to the Wi-Fi as well as big comfortable chair and a stand alone mirror. The living room had a comfy couch and two comfy chairs… laid on the couch many times exhausted after work. You have your own designated parking space and you are within a couple of miles of anything you might need on your stay.Overall it was just a very homefelt place to stay and I would recommend this home to anybody looking to stay in this small little town.

Wonderful welcoming touches in a great location

An absolutely wonderful stay. The communication was excellent and the directions and explanations about where to park and how to get into the apartment were superb. The apartment was much larger than we expected. Lots of room for the three of us and could have easily managed another person. The welcoming touches were lovely: a note with some treats. The bedroom is private but the second bed is in the main room that also holds the couch and TV plus the eating table. The kitchen is spacious and well stocked with a fridge and freezer, coffee maker, and lots of supplies if you want to cook. They left us eggs and have lots of spices and condiments. The bathroom is big and we really enjoyed the big fluffy towels. The location is great, only 13-15 minutes from Waterville and from Colby College. A very easy and scenic drive. A couple of small points to know. You do have to go up a set up stairs to get to the apartment so it is not wheelchair accessible. The windows don't look out on anything fancy so you don't get to enjoy the surroundings (the pond, etc) from your room. And I did recommend blackout curtains for the bedroom as the sun comes up early in Maine in late May. Thank you for providing a great stay for our daughter's graduation weekend!
