The only thing positive about our stay is upon check-in on our 1st day. The receptionist,Sepi, was exceptionally helpful & welcoming. The rest of our 5-day stay was unacceptable. On the 2nd day of our stay, no one came to at least throw our trash or change our towels. TV was not working. I called the front desk & I was told “we have a policy that rooms are serviced every 2 days”. We’re fine with this so we just asked for new towels & our trash/recyclables be taken away. Someone did & a repairman tried to fix the TV but no success. We were offered another room but it wasn’t available. We put up with it since we’re mostly out during the day.
Each time we leave, we didn’t hang the door sign “Unapologetically unplugged” to be sure our room was serviced for at least towels changed & trash removed. NEVER had anyone come to do so. Upon check out, we expressed our concerns but was told “ Per hotel policy, they will NOT do any room cleaning unless requested since Covid pandemic”!!!! This doesn’t make any sense at all & we travel all the time & NEVER had we encountered any hotel, local or international that has this “policy”. In fact, it’s the other way around. They will routinely clean/straighten out beddings, replace used towels when needed & other amenities replenished UNLESS you put the “Do not disturb” sign. To top it all… I ended up with bug bites. I never had left any reviews in all my years of travel or hotel stays ever BUT this is just too unacceptable to be ignored.
