Lovely Villa at West Cliffs

Wonderful space for us and our two teenage boys. It was nice to have a pool on the property, though it is small. Easy walking distance to the beach and the restaurant. Lovely location and condition.

The villa was beautiful and we had a super stay overall. Rooms were spacious and the views around the golf course and sea were lovely. However, we were approached very rudely by the neighbour next door who claimed we shouldn’t be making noise outside on our holiday. This was a real shame. As a holiday let, this shouldn’t be an issue. Especially when the villa is advertised for families.

Great property well laid out with plenty of facilities and supplies. IT that worked! Missing from house was a table jug for water and the BBQ didn't work, broken wheels and did not ignite. Needs fixing or replacing. Really excellent service from the front desk both before and during the stay. Always helpful, smiling and had all the answers to our questions. The resort is still under construction is some areas and that would have been good to know more about. Tried to exit the trail by the Boca restaurant and gate access did not work even though we had our access cards.

Very nice place with view to the golf court and with pool. 20min walk to the beach. Very few people at the beach. Very high waves not good to swim and too cold but very nice to walk along and lay down and enjoy.

Very clean and spacious unit with a private pool. Unfortunately we did not have sufficient time to enjoy the pool as it was a golf trip. We will definitely stay @ West Cliffs again on our next visit to Praia D’El Rey.

Booked two nights in a four-bedroom villa expecting a five-star resort experience, but unfortunately it did not meet that standard. On arrival there was no complimentary water, only two coffee pods for a four-bedroom villa, and no milk. There is no room service or way to call for basic necessities. While there is a restaurant on site, it is not at an elevated level. When I phoned ahead to arrange dinner, I was given options that were presented as part of the resort, but two required a 14-minute drive to another property, which was disappointing after travelling over 30 hours from Australia. The experience was poor enough that we left after one night despite booking two. Expedia suggested a refund for the unused night, which the hotel declined. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I wouldn’t want others expecting a true five-star resort experience to be misled.

Misleading “Five-Star” Resort – We Didn’t Stay! We booked West Cliffs Resort expecting genuine five-star quality. We always stay in five-star hotels through Expedia and have never had an issue—until now. This was the worst and most deceptive “luxury” property we’ve ever encountered. After a 10-minute walk to our “villa’’, number 43, we opened the door to what looked stripped and robbed. All three bedrooms showed where TVs had been removed, not even a picture to make them homely! There were just flies and a stale, neglected smell. The balcony was flooded up to our ankles, completely unusable. When I questioned the open snacks left in the room, reception claimed they were “new.” The three women on reception were rude and dismissive, talking over each other. One even made a sarcastic comment—“What do you want, another one?” The manager said “the photos are illustrative” and “owners don’t need to provide more than one TV,” yet later emailed saying they had “provided everything as promised,” refusing a refund. Those statements completely contradict each other—you can’t admit the photos aren’t real and still claim promises were met. They are piggybacking off the West Cliffs Golf Club’s good name, but the villas bear no resemblance to its standard or reputation. We also found dead worms in the pool. We checked in and out within two hours, yet the hotel refuses to take responsibility. The photos are deceptive and totally unrepresentative of reality. Avoid at all costs!!
