Oceanfront condo - Direct beach access with pool - Amazing Views - Windjammer

  • This oceanfront condo is a great getaway in the exclusive Windjammer complex at the west end of Ocean Isle Beach.

    Hear the sounds of the waves breaking on the shore with the sliding door open while you enjoy the beautiful oceanfront view.

    Master bedroom has a king bed with bath; second bedroom has two full beds with bathroom and TV. Queen sleeper sofa in living room (bring your own linens if you plan to use). Fully equipped kitchen, private balcony with table and seating for 6 plus space at kitchen island for 4. Living room has flat screen TV with WiFi and cable. There is also an elevator for our complex. Bed linens are included in the rental. We provide a bath towel set (bath towel, hand towel and washcloth) for 4 guests. If you need additional please let us know at time of booking and we can provide them for $10 per additional set. We also provide kitchen towel and washcloth. Please bring your own beach towels, and toiletries.

    You will never have to go further than the condo for a great time; enjoy swimming in the pool (pool is closed during off season) or within steps be on the beautiful sandy beach and ocean. Our condo is located directly on the ocean/beach with a private walkway access to the ocean and outdoor showers. A few short steps away on the beach is the Isle Restaurant for lunch or dinner.

    The island offers a variety of activities including miniature golf, fishing at the pier, arcade, shopping, boating, fishing charters, nighttime crabbing, biking and all kinds of beach activities.

    During the summer months enjoy FREE concerts on Friday night and on Sunday enjoy church on the beach.

    Ocean Isle has 20 golf courses within 8 miles. Myrtle Beach is 45 minutes and Wilmington 30 minutes away for more golf, shopping and fun. A 10 minute drive to Calabash or Shallotte offers many great restaurants. Near by rentals for kayaks, jet skis and bicycles on the island.

    Communal pool is typically open from April - October. This is subject to change based on local/state/HOA proclamations/orders and is not guaranteed.

    Please note that OIB has a noise ordinance between 10:00 PM and 7:30 AM. Violators will be fined $1,200.

It was a nice place and has a beach front view. While overall, all was very good, the floor wasn't as free of sand as I thought it should be. Beyond that, a good stay.

We love Ocean Isle Beach and the ocean views from this Windjammer unit. It's on the very nice west end of OIB and on the first floor. Two bedrooms/two baths were good for our family.

The room was perfect for our group of 4. Very little noise from other surrounding rooms and room was clean. The pool was kept clean, grills were cleaned each day and in good condition for use. The shower/rinse station at the end of deck was very useful. Great view from the room and a great stay.

My girlfriend & I had the best week making memories with our Moms!!! Beach was chilling, but we still took a few long walks. Condo is just like being at home and we love the balcony. Loved slot of the new updates.So wonderful to sit and watch the waves. Spent alot of time in myrtle breach, we shopped, found a yummy Paula Deen restaurant and a great outlet mall. Ended with 2 great Christmas shows!!!

Second stay here, we loved it so much last year that we came back! Once again it was spotless, perfect location and had everything we needed. The views are just incredible and the balcony has a lovely table and chairs to enjoy a beverage and snack while watching the ocean. It was unseasonably chilly, which made me appreciate the condo even more because we could still be near the ocean, but have our cozy sweats on! Owners couldn’t be nicer. I called Buddy with a dumb question about the remote for TV and he cheerily walked me through it. Definitely user error! This condo is now one of my favorite “Happy Places” and we will be back next year for our annual “Besties” trip!

Windjammer

This was our first visit to Ocean Isle and we had a great time. We even got lucky and saw one of the foxes. The Windjammer is a clean property that offers covered parking or outside parking which is nice on rainy days.The pool is large with a nice, wide wooden deck. There are 2 outdoor showers to wash the sand off before you go up. This condo was clean and spacious. The balcony is wonderful and we enjoyed eating meals and just hanging out and enjoying the view. The kitchen is well stocked. We had some problems with the keypad lock when we first arrived, but the owner was very helpful by setting a new code and getting us in. Buddy and Lisa were prompt in answering questions and gave great instructions for check-in and check out. We would love to stay here again some day.

Family trip

This condo is in a great location and is a good size for four adults. Owners were very responsive to messages and easy to interact with. That said, there are a few things that weren’t great. If I were the owners I would get a new cleaning company. When we arrived the cleaners had been there (we only know because we passed them on the stairs) but the old linens from previous renter were shoved in a closet and the floors definitely hadn’t been swept. The new linens and towels were left outside and the beds had no sheets on them so we had to make them, which was fine but was not previously communicated or stated in the property listing, so just be prepared for that. Also, all of the electrical outlets are loose. We couldn’t get anything to stay plugged in. Overall it was a nice place to spend our vacation. I don’t believe any of the issues are really the owners fault because they aren’t the ones cleaning between renters but the cleaners are definitely mediocre.

Great condo and impressive host

This was our first time in this area, and we're very glad we rented this condo. Not only is tge view gorgeous, but it was also clean, convenient, a great location to branch out from during our stay, and a quiet location. We discovered one issue our first morning in the condo, contacted the owner, and it was taken care of within a few hours. The owner was always VERY fast to respond to any questions before our stay, also (and also before we booked our stay). The condo has about everything you would want in the kitchen (that we could think of) during your stay . . . pots, pans, baking sheets, dinnerware, cutlery, glasses, coffee maker, utensils, etc. We did note in our pre-checkin info that paper products (paper towels, TP, kleenex) were not provided, and we were glad we saw that so we could be prepared when we got there. There is a Publix and a Lowes Foods close to the condo, so that was very convenient. We loved having the elevator available. We normally don't care, but an injured ankle just before our trip made the elevator a very welcome thing. Overall, we gad a great stay and would not hesitate to rent this unit again if we get back to the area in the future. FABULOUS owner to work with, can't say enough great things about him!

Oceanfront but needs some work

First off I just want to say that we really appreciate the easy/quick communication with our hosts. When we arrived at the condo it was very dirty so after notifying the hosts they got cleaners in the next morning which was nice that they fixed the issue for us promptly. The place needs a deep clean desperately and there is a mold issue as well you can see in the bathroom vents that needs to be addressed asap. The furniture also needs to be covered or replaced because they were very dirty especially the couch so we had it covered with a quilt for the week. We also would’ve liked some door mats on the inside of each door cause sand gets tracked in so easily as well. All the outlets are also very lose so everything just fell out of the plugs. The closets were full of stuff so we couldn’t really use them for our things so storage was an issue. The kitchen desperately needs some spatulas. Overall this could be an awesome place just needs a little tlc and mainly a deep clean to freshen the place up more regularly. We would stay here again if they got the mold checked out and cleaned the place up a bit. The location was great and the oceanfront access was awesome. We love Ocean Isle Beach!

Amazing View From Balcony!!

The property was lovely. However: They do not make the beds and you have to do that after you arrive. The sheets are wrapped in plastic and none are provided for the couch hide a bed. In our case no towels were provided for either bathroom. We arrived around 11 pm exhausted, so not ideal. We purchased towels from Walmart and a duffel to take them home in. The owner offered to reimburse us, but we could not find the receipt. We spent many lovely hours sitting in the shade of the balcony and looking out as pelicans danced in the air. We were disappointed that no beach gear was available with the rental. Purchasing it was a waste, and we should have rented from one of the surf shops, but didn’t know that was an option until it was too late. $55 for flimsiest beach chair in any store. I planned this trip to recuperate from gallbladder surgery. Better than lying around at home! Would have been nice to open the door to made-up beds and to have known ahead of time about weekly rentals for Shabumis and beach chairs, or better yet, have them included in the pretty price! Oh, and don’t forget to take toilet paper and paper towels with you. Those are not provided either, nor are salt and pepper, etc. I should have read the fine print.
