My trip was a 10/10, the manager was very hospitable, and so was the supervisor. This place is hidden gem, and the grounds, with the three leveled pools, and close proximity to the beach were truly amazing. The staff were amazing, and the restaurant on site was great.
We have had a wonderful stay at the beautiful Hermosa Cove. The staff are all lovey, Barbara, Venesha, Erin, Elvis, Shaneil amongst others! And a huge thank you to Rob for the wonderful hospitality and the great whiskey!
A truly beautiful and peaceful haven in stunning surroundings, we shall be back !

The staff was amazing. Beautiful place to stay with wonderfully planned layout. The food was delicious. Everything was spotless.
This is a special place indeed. Such a peaceful, beautiful and private place to unwind, reconnect with yourself, and nature. The property offers good snorkeling in a protected reef, endless wild parrots in the treetops, private pools, lush surroundings, and a small quiet beach. The staff is wonderful. Thank you Sheneil for making our upgrade possible. Elvis, you are truly amazing! The restaurant offers delicious authentic Jamaican food with great service. Thank you Barbara, Aneika, and Veneisha for making meals fun and welcoming. Hermosa cove is not just a resort, it is an experience.
My first solo vacation was amazing, I must say the ambience of the villa was so peaceful and safe. In the morning for breakfast the ocean view sets the tone♥️. Valentine’s Day dinner was 🔥🔥🔥, private pool was a time as well. 100/10 I would recommend to everyone I know.
Hermosa Cove is so well designed and thoughfully appointed. Art and artistry throughout, but with a sophisticated and refined flair. We stayed in the Cottonwood Treehouse -- just magical!
Nautilus was an upgrade to accomodate the group. Service was accomodating and helpful from check in to check out. Villa wax perched on the best spot with fabulous sea vistas. Space was carefully designed abd decorated .
I loved it! We will definitely stay there for our next visit. Our flights were delayed we didn’t get to the hotel until midnight. They still greeted us and even had dinner waiting for us in our Villa. The food is delectable. The service was great, just perfect.
Property and villa (Cottonwood Treehouse) was adorable. Nature trail on property was nice but some garbage thrown on it that took away from the ambiance. Staff was super polite, attentive & professional. Food was average, was hoping for a bit better. Pools were nice.
Unique cottages. Awesome staff. Special kudos to Rob, Elvis, Klint, Jermaine, the genius. They are always smiling and willing to help and do anything to make your stay awesome. Food was awesome. They catered to all our dietary needs . Can book with your eyes closed.
Conveniently located with mins away from all activities in Ocho Rios.
Pls book resorts in Ocho Rios. All other places are far from activities. This is by far the best resort in Ocho Rios.
2 hours away from airport, but close to all activities in Jamaica . Reach out to the resort and they will assist in all transportation needs.
We are planning to go back and book their tree house cottage..
Great staff, very friendly and responsive.
Beautifull and very well-maintained grounds.
Small sand beach but good snorkeling on the property.
Small watersports staff but office is very well stocked with masks and fins.
complimentary guided kayaking trips to snorkel a nearby reef.
Decent birding on site.
very limited complimentary continental breakfast (coffee or tea, 1 piece of toast with cream cheese and jam, juice and a fruit plate) However, plenty of tasty and reasonably priced options on the a la carte breakfast menu.
limited dining options nearby. on site restaurant has a very creative chef with great Caribbean flavors. avoid the pork barbeque itis very dry and nothing like American barbeque.
some of the villas are not as exciting as they appear in the website photos. go with an ocean view villa for a true Jamaican experience.
We stayed at Hermosa Cove for our 10th wedding anniversary, and I honestly can't say enough good things about it. It's one of those rare places that completely delivers on the promise of tranquility, romance, and beauty.
The setting is serene—just 9 villas spaced throughout a lush 12-acre property, each with its own unique style. We were lucky to stay in the Tree House Villa, which felt like a luxurious jungle escape, complete with an outdoor bath surrounded by trees.
Most villas come with their own dipping pool, and with only a handful of guests on the property at any time, the shared pools were practically private. We loved having the option to be completely alone, whether in our villa, at one of the pools, or by the water.
The staff were wonderful—welcoming, kind, and always available without ever being intrusive. It felt like we were on our own private island, but with help when we needed it.
And then there’s Christopher’s Restaurant—amazing food and easily the best dining experience we had in Jamaica. One special night, the staff arranged for us to have dinner in the private gazebo overlooking the ocean, just as the sun was setting. That kind of thoughtful gesture made our trip unforgettable.
Whether you're looking to explore (snorkeling and kayaking are available) or just want to relax with your partner in a quiet, lush paradise—Hermosa Cove is perfection. We’ll absolutely be back and recommend it to anybody with taste!
A beautiful complex of villas in a natural setting
My wife and I had a truly wonderful stay in the Calaloo villa for our joint 60th birthdays.
Hermosa is a small complex of private villas set within lush tropical gardens. It has its own, small private beaches, cascading swimming pools and two restaurants and a bar.
All the villas are individually designed and quite quirky, especially the tree house. Calaloo is spacious, comfortable and well equipped with lounge and kitchen on ground floor and bedroom and bathroom upstairs via outside staircase and large, wrap-around balcony. It also has outdoor eating area next to a small private plunge pool.
The staff were all fantastic - very welcoming and friendly and overall service was top notch. We are both vegetarian and the food was excellent throughout our stay.
There are plenty of places to relax around the main beach and pools and the restaurants and bar have great views across the water. The peaceful beach is sandy but has a small stony area to cross to get to swimming depth. Once beyond the stones there is plenty of sand and good snorkeling around the kelp and rocky outcrops.
Ocho Rios town is a 20 minute walk and a hectic but an interesting diversion from the serenity of the Cove.
Dunn's River Falls are highly recommended and just a short taxi ride away.
One of our best ever holidays, highly recommended and so much better than the expensive all inclusive we stayed at in Montego Bay earlier in the holiday.
Pros:
The villas are adorable and fairly private in a picturesque setting.
The private dip pool was the best…..it’s a must for future travel!
Breakfast, lunch and dinner were very good.
I loved how the property had hammocks, chair swings and gazebos throughout.
The cascading pool area is lovely.
Paulette the housekeeper is the sweetest lady ever!
Elvis is awesome!
Cons:
The property is located off super busy Main Street. You can hear traffic and beeping all day & night unless you are directly on the property’s beach where the sound of the crashing waves overtakes the sound.
There is also random music and chanting from a nearby hotel / church that tends to begin around 10:30 am.
Though the beach area is lovely, it is too rocky to walk into the ocean for swimming.
Danielle appeared sleepy and unmotivated the few times we went to the lobby. Once she was eating lunch standing between her office and the front desk which made us feel like a bother.
I would suggest power washing the mold from the beautiful cement/stucco walls throughout the property for a cleaner/better appearance. It wouldn’t be costly.
We stayed at Hermosa Cove for 5 nights. We came across this resort while searching for luxury villas in Ocho Rios. We have stayed at many luxury all-inclusive resorts before but wanted to try something different. This is an absolutely unique and beautiful property that is surrounded by a wide variety of trees, tropical plants, flowers, various birds and wooden sculptures. You will feel completely surrounded by nature. The staff from the front desk, restaurant, grounds staff were fantastic. We can’t forget about Elvis. He has a wealth of knowledge about this property because he has he helped to cultivate it from day one. Elvis brought us fresh coconut and mango. This made us feel very special. The three cascading pools overlooking the Caribbean ocean is so serene and beautiful. The beach area is pristine. The coral reefs is home to beautiful sea life. Great for swimming and snorkelling but you might also need water shoes. The food and drinks were excellent. Be sure the try the Caribbean breakfast, and tropical sundae. The villa was extremely clean, comfortable king size bed, air condition and kitchen should you need it. Spacious bathroom with walk-in shower. Lots of storage and closet space. Dipping pool was also nice. Lots of unique chill spots to relax on the property. This is a very quiet and relaxing resort. It’s not a party resort if that’s what you are looking for. Highly recommend this resort for peace, calm and complete relaxation. Looking forward to returning soon.
Wonderful location. Phenomenal staff. We had a lovely time and will be excited to book another trip and recommend to friends and family. Such a beautiful escape.
