"The hotel was spotless. Staff was very helpful. Excellent restaurant and bar. If you are a car enthusiast you definitely need to stay here the owner has an incredible collection of vintage sports cars and some modern cars the hotel is basically a car museum, also in the basement of the hotel there is a small version of Ripley's aquarium stunning examples of native freshwater fish and huge tanks quite an interesting walk through. Our room also had a beautiful outdoor terrace and view of the town."

"A wonderful stay! Although the hotel is located near the highway, it was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly charming. The room and bedding were spotless, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. As there was a short staircase to access the room, a member of the front desk team kindly helped us carry our luggage upstairs, which we really appreciated. Excellent service and great hospitality. We would happily stay here again."

"We are a big family and were welcomed with open arms. Hotel Balsthal is a charming, modern hotel with a rustic feel to it. We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely be back. Staff is very welcoming to children and went above and beyond to accommodate our little ones. It is surrounded by beautiful nature trails and old castles to visit. I strongly recommend staying here!!! "
