This was our first family holiday, and the first with our great friends we have known for over 20 years. We chose Croatia as we had heard such great things about the country, people, hospitality, cleanliness, beautiful landscapes, and value for money, we weren't disappointed! We were met by our transfer driver Ivan who was very polite and helpful, this would be the same for everyone we met in Croatia. Upon arrival at our apartment for the next ten days we were greeted by Ivica Knez and is daughter Andrea, as we were very early they said the apartment would be ready at 2pm but we were welcome to use the swimming pool and leave our suitcases and bags in the locked garage. Ivica offered us all a drink, beer, coffee, juice? we accepted and made the most of the beautiful weather and spent the next few hours poolside. Once the apartment was ready Ivica and Andrea invited in, Wow! was pretty much the word out of all our mouths! the apartment was pristine clean, there was a big open lounge, dining area that lead out to two balconies with an amazing view of the valley, beach, coastline which was no more than 200-300m from the apartment. The kitchen was a good size, each bedroom was a good size with plenty of storage. Each room had their own bathroom with shower, again with ample space for toiletries and towels. The lounge area had an air conditioning unit which was necessary for the evening as the rooms were quite hot from the days heat. The lounge also had good sized television with DVD player, this was something we never used as there was plenty of places to go during the day and the view from the balcony with a few drinks and a light snack was all we needed at night. The swimming pool (pristinely clean) was shared with the other apartments, but at no point did we feel we would need to make way for other residence, if anything it was probably the other way around. Ivica and Andrea were always there daily, so when we needed any help they were there and very helpful. Ivica and Andrea were perfect hosts, they were very attentive, they kept the area pristine clean especially the eating area where Ivica cooked on an outdoor wood burning oven. Some of the other residence had a lovely meal with Ivica, we were kindly invited down to join them and a buddy friendship began between us and our children. I could say more about Croatia as a whole, but alas no. It leaves me to say please visit Croatia, and I would recommend Ivica's apartments 10/10 :>) Thank you Ivica
