The Stirling Highland Hotel

"The room was good with plenty of room and a large king size bed which was comfortable, Bathroom was good if a bit old fashioned. Staff friendly and helpful. There are a lot of stairs in the hotel, think carefully if you struggle to walk up or down stairs. There were two large coach parties staying so the restaurant was very full and it took us more than 2 hours to get our dinner."

"Large home that comfortably accommodated nine family members.Large kitchen and sitting area off the kitchen. Very clean rooms and very comfortable beds. Very good location in Sterling and Sainsbury grocery store was a five minute walk from the house so easy to stock up on food. Very accessible to Glasgow and Edinburgh by train. Excellent accommodation for groups."

"Perfect place to stop over for one night for the recent Radio 2 in the park gig. I was travelling solo so I didn’t really get to check out the amenities as I just needed a bed to stay in for the night. It’s clearly an olde worlde hotel which must have seen lots of swish parties over its time, it’s a little bit dated in areas but tbh I thought it was perfect for what I needed. The room (211) was clean and the bed was comfy and I even had a tiny view of the mountains through a gap in the building! I slept well & enjoyed the tea and coffee. My only downside was that I couldn’t get wi-fi at all in my room. I tried a million times but no luck.. I think the room was in a blackout area, I had to sit on the stairs to ring my dad!! Also, going back down to the car park late at night there was no light in the corridor so I had to feel my way outside! However, I’m not going to end on a negative note. Overall my experience was really positive. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful & the location was right in the middle of Stirling so I’d def recommend it as somewhere to stop over briefly! I’d definitely choose to stay here again when I return to Stirling. Thank you to all the staff. Naomi :)"

"The property is as advertised. However, parking can be an issue. If you plan to park and then walk the town, parking shouldn’t be an issue. If you plan to drive to surrounding areas, finding parking when you return can be an issue. The bed is a double with a foam mattress. The shower has ample space, great water pressure, and plenty of hot water. The living space is large and comfortable."

"I really liked the hotel, my room was so cute. Luckily they installed a second set of windows on my bay window and it really helped reduce the noise from the walkway below. It was definitely right downtown and the party folks used the walkway late into the night. I missed that they did not have parking.. you have to pay for parking. Staff was helpful in choosing a good location (behind the hotel or down the street), but I’d prefer included parking. Staff is not there full time, but were helpful when there."
