"Our stay was fanatastic! We enjoyed the serene small town and enjoyed visiting Florence near by. Waterloo is a small quiet town, so be prepared to entertain yourself with movies and games as well as evening talks as you gaze out across the moonlit Tennessee River. Enjoy coffee to a beautiful sunrise! Lots of nature trails near by. Be prepared with groceries because stores are nearly 30 minutes one way. The host makes checking in easy and responds if you message. The cottage is clean and exceeded my expectations. "

"Great home-very cozy. Freezer had to be cleaned-exploded drink left. TV had some issues but they were sporatic. Few minor things like availability of cookware/dishes-very old and not many, But able to get by-we just cook ALOT and did bring some items with us. No check out instructions left. Overall very happy with our stay-we are repeat visitors and will definitely stay again. Had a great long weekend! "

"NEVER STAY HERE! You will be wasting your money! This was one of the worst places I have ever stayed at! The Ac didn’t work. We contacted the host he kept saying someone was coming but they never did! The house was filthy. Nasty sheets and a moldy smell. The floors were so filthy our feet were black! It was extremely hot it stayed about 75-80 degrees. The host was not very kind either! He didn’t fix any of the problems when we told him about them! Also the grill was falling apart and the patio furniture was so nasty! Do NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!! "

"A lovely home, that needs some TLC before renters!!!Pros - Great location, size, attractive inside/outside. Cons - We never received check in or check out instructions, like every other VRBO rental. We communicated to owner that we needed to know how to get into the property. She sent a code that did not work, then later had to give another code. When we woke up & wanted to leave, I once again had to reach out to her & ask about check out. The home smelled the entire time we were there, despite being told it would go away once the air ran for a bit. It’s “from the paper mill,” & yet we only smelled it outside 1 time. The home was not clean. Upstairs toilet had not been cleaned & had leftover feces. Sheets did not appear to be clean either, hair in beds. No towels in upstairs bathrooms, had to get towels from downstairs master. The towels that were available need to be replaced, as they are in terrible condition. No matching glasses, mugs, cups. It’s a mess of a cabinet with what looks like a bunch of leftover cups from restaurants. Ice maker makes a strobe light, needs to be addressed. 1 of the chairs in family room is broken & needs to be replaced. Lots of blankets next to couch, all could use a cleaning. Porches/furniture need to be cleaned. Leftover Torchys food in fridge!We’ve been renting from VRBO for many, many years. We’ve never had a bad experience, guess it was time. The number 1 question you may have, would we rent again? NO. NEVER. Not a good experience. "

"This is our fifth time to rent this adorable cabin . Philama the host is very sweet & will make your stay joyful & stress free . If you love Pickwick Lake like we do this is the ideal point . It’s less than 10 minutes & very convenient parking for your boat . It’s so peaceful . "
