Family Owned Hostel is Great

A simple hostel, with a very friendly family running the spot. Despite a language barrier we figured it out and I enjoyed my stay a ton! Would definitely recommend.

Ollantaytambo Hostel

Excellent staff and customer service. We were treated like FAMILY. Anything we needed food, drink, taxi, bus, and advice on visiting tourist sites was explained in detail. Rosa is an amazing, caring, & lovely person. A big plus was also that we were just steps away from the Ollantaytambo ruins. Definitely will return with family and friends. Recommend to everyone that will be visiting Ollantaytambo. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality.

Einfaches Hostel, aber super freundlicher Empfang. Frühstück war ausreichend. Preis/Leistung ist top. Klasse Lage nahe Stadtzentrum. 10 Minuten Fußweg zum Bahnhof oder 5 Minuten zum Stadtzentrum oder 10 Minuten zu Ruinen. Gerne wieder.

Péssima experiência. Hotel não oferece conforto mínimo. Roupas de cama com mal cheiro, banheiro fora do quarto, quarto frio, café fraco, sem espaço.

Perfect location, nice stay

Owner is helpful and fun to talk to if you speak Spanish. Some of the rooms have a cool, interesting feel, with stone walls. A comfortable place located right by the ruins, and steps away from main areas in town.

Me encantó Rumi Sonqo en Ollantaytambo, pues es una casa tipo colonial, hermosa y acogedora. La Sra. Rosa, dueña del hostal, es muy amable y mantiene muy limpias sus habitaciones. Además de que su ubicación es ideal, pues está frente a la entrada del Sitio Arqueológico de Ollantaytambo. De haber tenido más tiempo de vacaciones, me habría encantado quedarme más tiempo en Rumi Sonqo.

Buena estancia en hostal Rumi Songo

El personal del hotel muy amable. Nos atendió a todo lo que solicitamos. Nos preparo fruta para el viaje ya que el tren sale muy temprano. Nos permitió dejar las maletas para vijarar ligeros. Ubicación muy cerca de zona arqueológica y de la plaza de armas. Se desplaza muy fácil a estos lugares 5 minutos caminando. la estación de tren de ollantaytambo a 10 minutos caminando. Regresaría a este lugar.

dont delay, STAY HERE

Just a wonderful place to stay. Incredible location right at the ruins and a 10 minute walk to the train station. Rosa who runs the place is also wonderful. We had to get up at 4am to make our 5am train to Maccu Picchu and she was awake and waiting for us to give us some breakfast snacks to take with us. We also had a lovely breakfast the next day (at a more reasonable hour of 8am). The best value for money we’ve found in the whole of Peru.

The room felt like it was in a cave and we both loved that. Very, very quiet and cool for comfy sleep. The room was very clean. The owner asked what time we wanted breakfast and then set the most adorable little table for two for breakfast. Really sweet and good customer service. Nice, quiet location in Ollantaytambo and would recommend for an excellent value for your money.

We had a good breakfast there! The owner was very sweet and always asked what time did we wanted breakfast. She did not speak English! The bed was warm, as it is very cold there! Hot shower!

Super endroit!!

Super endroit, à 100m de marche de l’entrée des ruines. L’hôtesse était très gentille, un peu comme une maman. Les lits super confo et la douche chaude! Je recommande!

Habitación cómoda y personal amable

La habitación es cómoda, la ducha muy agradable, con agua abundante y caliente. También la cama es muy confortable y caliente. Estuvimos muy bien en Rumi Sonqo. El personal también es amable y siempre atento a las necesidades. Rosa me consiguió un secador de pelo de alquiler y el segundo día pagó ella el costo. Nos acompañaron a un mercado local para comprar alimentos a buen costo. ¡Buena experiencia!
