"The staff of Hotel David is amazing So helpful and accommodating I really appreciate them! The hotel itself is located right outside the ZTL and includes parking which is a huge plus. It is also super clean the room we stayed it is the biggest we have in a Europe hotel. They have complementary breakfast and Apperitivo. It was a great stayed and I appreciate the kindness of the staff"

B&B Hotel Firenze Pitti Palace al Ponte Vecchio

"A hotel in a great location with some good views of the city skyline from the breakfast terrace. The breakfast was not the quality I expected and much lower quality especially when compared to a second hotel that I stayed at Florence. They served the worst quality croissants I have tasted. We also consistently lost wifi on our floor and the front desk was slow to acknowledge this, and act on it."

"I knew the hotel was across the street from where I had to check in but I had no idea I would feel so isolated in it. I had to walk in corridors where there was nobody or nothing and I don't think they were very well lit. I felt very alone which was OK but if I had encountered anyone wishing to harm me on the walk to my room I would have been very worried. There was also no phone in my room if I needed help. The room was tiny and was to have a courtyard view. The 'courtyard' was merely a view out to some kind of shaft and the window was like bathroom glass that I could not see through. It also didn't seem to shut very securely. Despite all this, it did fulfil my chief requirement and that is quietness. The cleaning lady was very efficient and left me towels on the day that I said my room did not require cleaning. I don't think I'd stay here again - I think I could find quietness in a less isolated place."

"Beautiful, quiet surrounds. Walking distance to all major landmarks in Florence. Very friendly and helpful staff. No restaurant on site but breakfast is lovely and Giovanni has wonderful recommendations for where to eat. I didn’t have them but I’m told the cocktails are delicious. Didn’t use the pool which is small but would be a nice place to e to cool off after a day of touring"

"Stunning location, amazing property, beautiful beach. I found the location and the beach, even the hotel to be much better than The Hermitage which for some reason has higher rating and is more expensive. I would definitely come back."

"What can I say! From the moment we walked in, it felt like we were royalty! What a beautiful hotel! Everything about it was fabulous! Our room had 2 separate spaces which made it so comfortable! They have a heated towel rack so we could do some laundry and the tub had amazing jets for our baths too! Comfortable bed, friendly conversation and helpful tips from the staff and always with a smile! This hotel is close to everything. Free breakfast each morning and a wonderful happy hour each evening. The hotel is clean and spotless! We would absolutely stay here again when in Florence. The bar and coffee area in the room had a separate sink and was easy to make coffee each morning. Plenty of space in the bedroom area to put your suitcases and clothes away. We can't say enough good things about this hotel. If you are in Florence, THIS is a fabulous choice!"

"Great location. Close to the action, but on the quiet side of the river. Very helpful staff. Helped navigate a work-around for the train strike. Very nice breakfast which was included in our reservation"

Hotel Villa Carlotta

"Great experience at Hotel Villa Carlotta. Quiet location with a lovely pool that unfortunately we didn't have time to use. My only note was it would have been nice to have been offered a drink while we were sat by the pool on our first morning but that's a minor minor detail. Loved it and would have loved to stay longer."
