"This was a beautiful property overlooking the Bay of Islands and less than 10 min drive to Paihia where you can find restaurants and activities. Our room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable. The host was welcoming and went out of her way to make us feel at home. I definitely recommend staying here. "
"We stayed at the 1 bedroom suite. It was perfect for a couple like us on a short stay. The view is second to none looking out North of Paihia across to Russell. You can watch the boats, ferries and yachts from the deck as well as from inside the suite. There is no oven, however there are 2 hobs to cook on. The entire unit is pristine and represents excellent value for money."

"Haka Lodge reflects its past as a YHA hostel with all the facilities and ambience of the youth hostel which encourages interaction with other guests.
We were impressed with the helpfulness and pleasantness of the staff in answer to our questions about Paihia and Russell.
