The host was very responsive to my messages and catered for my late check-in without any issues (I arrived at 11pm). Contact through WhatsApp was efficient and check-out was very straight forward too. I stayed alone, but this would be suitable for 2 people, anymore and you might feel a bit cramped. "I had a wonderful experience at Hotel Si! The staff was extremely courteous and helpful, the property was clean and easily accessible and the breakfast buffet delicious. It’s in a great location (10min walk from the central square and Blloku), and my balcony view was extraordinary. I strongly recommend and would go back tomorrow. Thank you Hotel Si staff!!!"

"Mercure Hotel is a clean, well-maintained property. It's located near a major intersection on the western outskirts of Tirana. There are two things I liked about the hotel. First, it is clean and new for the price range. Not fancy, but I did not experience any inconvenience during my stay. Second, the breakfast buffet was really good, much better than most four-star hotels in Western Europe. In addition to eggs and sausages, they had vegetable dishes, mushrooms, various kinds of cheese (not just European cheese but also more Middle Eastern cheese), five or six different kind of jams, different kinds of yogurt, fresh fruit, bread, and more. There is also an absolutely pleasant female worker there. She greets every guest and asks how we are doing in a super cheerful manner but not in an annoying way. She was a delight to see every morning. The hotel should give her a big raise! The most serious drawback I had was the location of the hotel. Because it's outside the main area of the city, there are so few restaurants to go out for dinner. I ended up eating dinner at the hotel, which was very disappointing unlike the excellent breakfast. I think they microwave everything in the kitchen, which is really problematic for dinner that pretends to be a bit fancy. So if you stay here, make sure to eat in town before coming back to the hotel."
