It doesn't get much better than Hakuba Valley on Honsho and one of the stars of the area is Cortina. With a fabulous lodge right at the Base of the resort and a bit of village to rummage around. Great terrain of groomers for us old guys to dream of past glories. Large rooms. Excellent onsen and outdoor pool and sauna. Direct access to the ski area. Ski in and out. Free shuttle to Minami-Otari train station. Very reasonable lift ticket prices that allowed you to ski Norikusa and Cortina. Staff very helpful as well. All around great place to stay.

Amazing traditional Japanese style room. Dated but very clean and comfortable with ski run views! The Onsen was great after a day skiing. The dinner and breakfast was excellent and included in the price ….. not fine dining but wholesome and something for everyone. Would definitely recommend.

Very clean, modern hotel with excellent service from the staff. The hotel shuttle to the ski areas in Hakuba was very convenient. The hotel shuttle even picked us up when we were shopping in town and could not catch an Uber or Taxi. The service was exceptional.
