The AC does not cool. As a Certified Commercial Property Inspector I can verify that the hotel is paying for AC units to run constantly without cooling. Temperature in room does not decrease as rapidly as the external air temp. Room went no lower than 23c while the temp outside went down to 21. On arrival the room was at 24c and then went up to near 25. Manager claimed AC is working properly. A properly working AC unit will cool and turn off then turn on again when the space warms. These units are not intended to run constantly. The hotel is wasting money by not making the rooms comfortable. It is counterproductive. Additionally, the humidity in the room exceeds 60%. This is damaging to the property as well as uncomfortable. Final issue is the loud bath fan. It is malfunctioning and wasting energy by running with excess friction. Both systems need servicing which will not only make guests comfortable but will save money.

wonderful tranquility

Very quiet family hotel, especially popular with tour operators with bus trips. Our triple room was spacious and comfortable with a good bathroom. The breakfast was unfortunately the worst of our holiday. Beautiful surroundings including the water mills at the mouth of the river Gacka and the Sjeverni Velebit National Park. But this area is not yet really opened up for tourism. That also has advantages, such as the wonderful tranquility.

Perfect for one night!

Perfect for one night when you are passing by! The staff is really friendly! If you don’t eat meat the menu doesn’t have a lot for you to eat! Meat eaters on the other hand can pick and choose, and the portions are big. Breakfast wasn’t great either. But over all nice place for a shorter stay, and the staff weigh up the down sides.
