Wonderful boutique hotel. Beautifully and tastefully furnished . All amenities in room worked well and were clean and super fit for purpose. The room was a delight. Beautiful hotel, with perfect location in the middle of Oxford near all colleges and sights. Great room, very quite despite central location. Lovely outside eating area, great bar and restaurant. Parking is fun, follow the signs all the way as there really is a small gateway down a narrowing road. All in all, excellent.

Our third stay and it’s just a fantastic time every time. Cozy, authentic. Great bathrooms and showers, thick fluffy towels, very quiet — it feels like you’re staying in a wealthy friend’s manor house. So amazing to stay in a luxury hotel that’s not become corporate and impersonal.

I chose this hotel based on its location and other reviews and was not disappointed. Incredibly helpful and friendly staff - we arrived before check-in time but were offered a complimentary coffee before we headed back out again after leaving our cases. When we returned, our cases were already in our room and were shown around our room. An à la carte breakfast is provided in the Quod restaurant which we made use of every day. Home made biscuits, fresh milk, ground coffee, tea and bottled water in our room were replaced every day. The air conditioning was excellent - so simple to operate as well. There is an optional 5% service charge on check out but I had no qualms at all in paying this as the staff are so brilliant at making this hotel so special. We will certainly choose to stay here again should we return to Oxford in future.

I booked a standard room for our daughter for her wedding night. The hotel very kindly upgraded them to a suite and provided an array of pastries and delights for them upon their late arrival. I cannot thank them enough for rounding off their very special day, A very special hotel and staff.
