PARKROYAL Langkawi Resort

"Overall, I had a pleasant stay and were generally impressed with the hotel. The service was good, the facilities were great, and the room itself was comfortable, well-maintained, and up to the standard expected of a 5-star hotel. There are a few areas that I feel could be improved. The children’s playground, in particular, could be further improved. Given the overall quality of the hotel’s facilities, I expected the playground to be a little more well-equipped. The restaurant is another area where I feel there is room for improvement. Unfortunately, the food quality did not quite match the standards I would expect from a 5-star hotel. Some of the dishes, such as curry mee, Chinese tea eggs, roti paratha, and ayam berempah, are relatively simple local favourites, but the quality were below average. These dishes could be improved significantly in terms of taste. Overall, the hotel room, service, and facilities were very good. With some improvements to the children’s playground and especially the restaurant’s food quality, I believe the overall experience could be elevated to better reflect the hotel’s 5-star positioning."

"We had a wonderful four-day stay at The Danna. From the warmest welcome to the lovely complimentary shoulder massage on arrival, which was such a nice bonus, we felt well looked after from the start. The staff were incredible and consistently went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Our room was spacious, immaculate and thoughtfully replenished by housekeeping each day. The bed was also extremely comfortable. There was a great selection at breakfast, and the attentive service from the staff made it even more enjoyable. I visited the spa three times during our stay and absolutely loved every treatment. The spa itself is beautiful and the treatments were excellent, although it is worth noting that they are quite expensive. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Danna and would happily recommend it to friends and family."

"We had 5 days and it wasnt enough. We thoroughly enjoyed it from check in to check out. We got a room at the hotel jetty and all the hotel Amenities were within feet away. I loved the private beach, the gym, the balcony and the wildlife. Special mention to Shenthi (French intern, in case I spelt the name wrong!). Honestly, we will be returning soon. Few things to help planning- closest 7/11 store is a can ride, so pack up on snacks."

"An Exceptional and Unforgettable Stay Our stay at The Datai Langkawi was truly exceptional and one of the most memorable experiences of our trip to Malaysia. The breathtaking rainforest setting, beautiful beach, excellent dining and wonderful spa are all remarkable, but what truly distinguishes The Datai is the extraordinary level of hospitality. We are especially grateful to the General Manager, whose personal attention, generosity and genuine care made our stay incredibly special. Taking the time to meet with us personally and ensuring that we felt truly welcomed and valued reflected an exceptional level of hospitality and leadership. We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to the management team and the wonderful team members at the Nature Centre and Spa. Their warmth, professionalism and thoughtful attention added greatly to our experience. Our thanks extend to everyone we encountered, including housekeeping, concierge, restaurants, transportation, spa and activity teams. Throughout our stay, we consistently experienced kindness, professionalism and genuine hospitality. We arrived expecting a beautiful luxury resort, but left with wonderful memories and genuine affection for The Datai and its people. It is a truly special place, and we sincerely hope to return. "All staff friendly and attentive. Amazing breakfast with great selection to cater for all tastes. Beautiful grounds, quiet and location, note the property has a beautiful beach view but not for swimming. 6 mins drive from airport, 15 mins from skyride attraction and 20 mins pentai chaning ( main beach area). We had a wonderful stay for 3 nights."
