The unit was very comfortable and exactly what was needed, disappointed to discover the spa bath wasn't working.

Had a faulty power switch which started to smoke and flame had it done it in the night may have been interesting when charging wifes hearing aides. Also noticed that the smoke dedector was missing and an empty bracket on the wall Didnt seem to concern when we told them as it was the morning we where booking out They also didnt answer the emergency number i rang twice as i was mot sure if there was a potential fire still behind the wall Picture displaying the place do not even come close to its true condition.

We received text saying key was in lockbox by room. Arrived when dark and not light above box so hard to see when entering number. Unit was nothing like the photo of hotel. It was street side and very noisy being by main room, with traffic speeding past all hours of the night and day. Reception not managed and no one around to help oversea tourists who arrived on Saturday afternoon - we ended up having to ring several times on their behalf to get hold of anyone. Woke last morning with cockroaches in our bed!!!!! Nothing in room regarding where to get meals. Water from tap was horrible! Recommend take bottled water if you are going to stay here. Liquid soap in shower not refilled so ended up having to go to Countdown next door to buy our own!!! Would I stay here again? Short answer is NO! By no means not the worse place but have stayed in better for similar price.

The hotel is in a good location with plenty of activities/excursions available in the town. The boat trip to the bay of islands is definitely worth doing. The room could do with renovating, but the biggest issue for us was the lack of a sink in the kitchen area. Overall it was OK.

We stayed 4 nights and loved it! Well the kids played in the pool every day, the rooms are a great size, and staff are very friendly. Having the supermarket right next door made meals super easy. Would definitely stay here again.
