The property is really pretty and in a great location. However, check-in was frustrating after a 7-hour drive. I had booked and paid for two rooms, but was initially told there was only one. After some back-and-forth and help from other staff members, they finally located the second room. Unfortunately, they couldn’t place both rooms on the same floor. If both rooms had been found right away, I’m sure we could’ve at least been near each other.
Also, I was woken up around 4 a.m. by a very loud noise that sounded like a vacuum and lasted for about 30 minutes. It was hard to get good rest. The doors in the building also close very loudly — every time someone shut their door, our room would shake.
Overall, the location is great, but the experience could’ve been better.
