Paradise Cabin at Pardise in the Woods overlooking the Buckhannon River

3/4 mile long driveway to your own haven in the woods. Cabin has game room with pool table overlooking the beautiful Buckhannon River, surrounded by forest. Walking path to a peaceful and secluded swimming area (there are 2 swimming areas to accommodate 2 cabins on property.) There are fire pits at the cabin and by the river so you can build a fire and roast smores with your crew. Swim, fish, kayak, raft, hike or just relax on the front deck or by the fire and watch the wildlife.

Sleeps up to 12, master has king bed with baby crib, sleeping nook has twin bunk beds, 2nd bedroom has queen bed and two twin beds, 3rd bedroom has queen bed and daybed with trundle.

The kitchen has all the appliances and utensils you would have in the comfort of your home. Coffee maker, blender, food processer, crock pot, steamer pot, toaster, electric can opener, dishwasher, gas range, microwave, refrigerator freezer with ice maker, etc.

Gameroom with pool table and Pacman machine.

Please be aware that the driveway is long and steep in a couple places and is a bit rugged. A 4-wheel drive vehicle is recommended but not necessary. Keep in mind that low sitting cars may drag going in and out the drive. (4-wheel drive is necessary in the winter time due to snow)

We are pet friendly (dogs only, fee required). Must clean up after your pet inside and out. Excessive pet hair on furniture or pet excrement (especially inside) may result in forfeiture of all or part of security deposit.

-NO food, drink, persons or animals allowed on pool table.

-For security purposes, there is a video surveillance camera overlooking the driveway and parking area.

Easter Cabin Weekend

Every year for Easter my childhood friends and I gather together, and force our kids to hang out, play games, dress up & take pictures. This cabin was absolutely perfect for all of those things. Would rent again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful Cabin

The cabin was amazing, had great amenities, and had access to classic creek swimming. Host was very accommodating and answered all of our questions very quickly. Driveway caused our car to bottom out twice, would recommend not taking cars with less than normal ground clearance, only reason the stay was not perfect was the driveway, which was only a minor negative to an other-wise perfect cabin get away!

Relaxing

The booking was no hassle, easy and every question was answered quickly. The views are spectacular, we had an extremely relaxing time. The home is cozy and immaculate. The day we were leaving we found our car had a flat tire, called the owner and she sent someone who had an air compressor and had us on our way in no time. We highly recommend not just this rental property for the views and the beautiful nature hikes but the owners as well.

Beautiful Cabin

We stayed at this beautiful cabin for a week. It was very private and secluded which we definitely loved. My sons loved fishing in the river. They caught several different kind of trout and some small mouth bass. It's a great place to relax and enjoy nature and the beautiful river. Cheryl was a great host. We needed the outside trash cans to be emptied before the end of our stay and Cheryl was easy to get a hold of and made sure the cans were emptied immediately. We definitely hope to return next year.

Lovely stay!

My family and I enjoyed our stay here. We loved the privacy and peacefulness of the property. The cabin itself is incredibly spacious and comfortable for large groups. Having the river so close was one of our favorite parts! Despite the weather raining us out for a few days, we still enjoyed every minute. The beds were comfortable and having a fan in every room really made a huge difference on the 90 degree days! The kitchen was also fully stocked with all the appliances and utensils we needed, everything in perfect working order. The wifi was perfect for streaming music while outside at the fire pit or on the porch. Check in and check out was a breeze, Cheryl is very helpful and responds swiftly. We would definitely stay here again!

Walk to the Cabin 2021

My friends and I, all senior citizens (over 60) had a great time decompressing at the Paradise in the Woods. I downgraded the accuracy of the online listing because of my own preconception, but from the pictures it sure looked like the river was right outside the back door, although the railroad track grade made it impossible to reach the river without going down the tracks to the path where the gravel of the train bed was arranged for walking down. What a fantastic property - the back porch was the focal point of our hanging out, both during the day and in the evening. We never did have a fire, just too tuckered out from river kayaking all day to make it happen. We ran at least six times from the path put-in to the Alton Road bridge. The pool table saw a lot of use as well. Very enjoyable stay, very nice property. Thank you Cheryl.

Family vacation

Interesting property very unique

We went with friends and had kids all under the age of 8. We all enjoyed it and plan on making this a yearly visit. The views were amazing. The river was clean and kids loved playing in. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. I would love to own this property one day!!!

Privacy & Serenity.

If you're looking for privacy and serenity, this is the place to stay! The property is well maintained. The Buckhannon river is only a rocks throw away and the sound of the water was very calming. I am from West Virginia and know that area fairly well, but my Garmin GPS took me to this property with no issue.

Family Thanksgiving Vacation

Wow! That's what I think we all said upon arriving! It is exactly what what we were looking for, so serene and secluded. The home was exactly as advertised and very clean and comfortable. We decided to start a new Thanksgiving tradition and I believe teenagers and adults alike can't wait until next year to come back to your home! Remote

It was exactly what I was looking for. Remote, quiet, away from the hustle & bustle. We had the property to ourselves. No nearby neighbors. It was enjoyable waking up in the chilly mornings listening to the river below & looking out at the mountains above. Our pup loved swimming in the river & exploring the property. It is very remote. Far away from activities. Expect an hour drive or so. Overall we enjoyed our stay & would love to come back in the summer with the whole family.
