"The Village House is an oasis of calm and beauty in Sarawak. The property is beautifully furnished, the rooms very comfortable, and the staff always helpful. We enjoyed our stay and wish it could have been longer!"

"Fantastisk oplevelse i fremragende telte med egen minipool. Der er kun 11 telte, så der er meget roligt på stedet. Personalet er MEGET venlige og hjælpsomme. Mulighed for udflugter ud i nærliggende natur. Fantastisk sted, især hvis man vil have lidt ro og bare vil forkæles. Kommer MEGET gerne igen!!"

"Cove 55 was the perfect finale to our family trip. Tucked between the slopes of Mount Santubong and the South China Sea, it feels like a private retreat — our room was spacious, spotless, and so quiet at night that all we heard was the jungle. But it’s the people who made our stay. The team helped us arrange our trips to the Semenggoh orangutans and a wetland cruise, and thought of every detail so that traveling with three generations felt effortless. Breakfast was wonderful — Western and local...

"Good for its price. Everything seems fine."

"Großartiges Hotel in super Lage, Promenade fußläufig in ca. 10 Minuten erreichbar. Sehr freundliches Personal. Mein Zimmer war absolut ruhig, super klimatisiert. Alles sehr sauber, tolle Dusche, tolles Bett. Frühstück sehr gut."

"Yes but amenities not enough for 5 pax."

"location is ok no complaint at this price"

"Lugar bem calmo e tranquilo mas longe de tudo: mercado e restaurante a 3 km...o café mais perto, 1 km estava fechado no dois dias que fiquei....e atentem para o fato de não ter wi fi"

"Great location. Friendly, helpful staff. Was probably beautiful in the past but could definitely use maintenance and a deep cleaning."

"Overall it was good, although a few essentials were not included... like small hand wash towel, water filter / dispenser..."

"Place2Stay claims three stars but it doesn't offer this quality of accomodation. The building is not well maintained, the rooms are a little shabby and the services are basic. Rooms are never cleaned during the stay, even for a longer stay, and the waste bins are never emptied. Please give your guests a broom and let they know that bottles are not to be thrown away in the room bins! It's definitely not good value, hardly two stars. But the location is great as a lot of good Kuching restaurants...

"Im stay here for 3 night. Good service. spacious room. just 5 minutes from town. Will stay again if come to Kuching"

" I was in Kuching for 10 days staying at a different place every 2-3 days all around the same price range and this one was the worse of them all. The tv was a rabbit ear 13" with a snowy picture and 2 Vietnamese channels only. The hotel is old in a not so good area with hookers standing outside the hotel. The hotel is so old if it is clean you can't tell, needs paint, plumping toilet leaking around the base, needs lots of work to bring into a 1-star hotel rating. Many restaurants in walking...

"I chose this hotel as it was very accessible to the conference centre where I was attending a conference. I was pleasantly surprised with the room - it was clean, very spacious, comfortable bed. Nice views (though dirty windows). The room even had a kitchenette in it (but with a note that no cooking allowed?!). Lovely big bath and separate shower. However hotel as a whole has appearance of neglect. Pool was nice but needs a good scrub…whole exterior of hotel looks crumbly and dirty/likje it is...

"There was a fire in my bathroom and they moved me to a different room. The new room they provided the drain backfilled filling up the bathroom floor with sewer water. Make sure that you bring your own toothpaste and soap. Did I mention the cockroach’s? "
