Loved our room (#7) and the wonderful private outdoor lounge space. Staff was very nice (the night agent could have been more friendly), restaurant staff was great as was the registration desk agent who greeted us. The view of the beach and the hillside houses was really lovely. Breakfast was very good but nothing special. Dinner at Blue was outstanding as was our lunch at TheOyster Lounge. This was an outstanding choice in a lovely little beach resort town. Would love to return and would definitely stay at Abalone again!

Lovely property in a prime position just a few minutes walk to the beach. Rooms (superior) very comfortable and clean, staff were lovely and attentive. Food in the restaurant was excellent, but the service was slow. We pre ordered our breakfast on the day we left as we needed to get on the road as it was a long journey, that worked out well. The waterfront just up the road is worth a visit. Would recommend.

Great hotel with welcoming staff

Nice hotel however pictures on hotels.com are misleading. The picture of the pool with a sea view is of a property adjacent to the hotel but run by the same owners. The pool at the hotel has no sea view. The location is not near the Main Street. Staff were extremely friendly and the rooms were excellently furnished. Heated pool is a. Ice touch. Breakfast was excellent.

Cute lil hotel in Paternoster

We stayed here for a night after dining at Wolfgat. If I'm honest, I don't feel the need to visit Paternoster again but if you do, then this is a cute little hotel to stay at. There are 2 small sized pools and the rooms are pretty small too but the service and breakfast were both great.

The Hotel was superb all the staff were so pleasant, and food was excellent, definitely one to go back too. Very difficult to find any negative comments. Nadine on front desk was most helpful when I had a problem 👍😘 Paternosta was pretty little resort with wonderful beaches.

Great location, beautiful sea view. Quiet place. Good breakfast and great a’ la carte menu, we had crayfish. Oysters and sushi just top. Staff took us on bird watching sail trip to Berg river. Can recommend. Spa should be upgraded (staff & ambience). Drinks at Oysterbar need improvement. We had a great stay. Thank you.

We loved the hotel and its location. Our rm #7 was great with its nice bathroom and terrific deck with lounge chairs. We had an outstanding meal at their restaurant, Blue, and a terrific snack of sushi and oysters at The Oyster Lounge. Highly recommend Tje Abalone!

Comfort and an amazing location!

We stayed for one night with our daughter and son in law. The hotel is gorgeous and the rooms very comfortable. The only complaint was no feather pillows (our personal preference) but the half/half pillows were ok. We did not eat dinner at the hotel but enjoyed breakfast in the morning, where sadly there was no freshly squeezed fruit juice which is a shame. Overall it was a lovely stay.

Unfortunately the ‘villa’ we booked was not quite how the pictures made it seem. Quite abit of damage and rubbish around the outside of the property. The pool was disgustingly dirty and the hotel manager told us ‘that’s just south Africa’ also to be told on check in, don’t worry about the rough locals - just keep your blinds down…not exactly what we paid for. Being 500m down the road from the hotel made it feel quite isolated and unsafe. We booked the hotel because we needed abit more space than a typical hotel room would provide - we have a 6 month old baby…however given that it is not advertised that it’s not part of the hotel then that meant we left 3 days early due to the above. No refund was offered and the owner was due to call…never did. Overall really disappointing - I rarely write a review but this was worthy, especially given the rate was nearly £400 a night

Die gebuchte Beachvilla lag weit entfernt vom Hotel. Der Blick auf den Strand und den Atlantik war toll. Die Villa selbst ist teils recht schön eingerichtet, bleibt aber hinter den Erwartungen zurück. Handwerklich viel Pfusch, der Grundriss mit einem Schlafzimmer, was man nur von aussen von der Poolterasse begehen kann, viel Krampf, 2 Tage von 3 kein warmes Wasser...da stimmt das Preis Leistungsverhältnis einfach nicht. Frühstück gab es im Hotel, a la carte, das war gut. Personal auch recht freundlich und bemüht. Wir würden das Hotel nicht empfehlen und im schönen Ort Paternoster in Zukunft eine andere Wahl treffen
