Quiet Retreat & House Rules

No Parties or Events: Our property is strictly licensed for guest accommodation, not gatherings or events.

Fire Pit & Fireworks: Use of the fire pit is permitted only when weather conditions allow (we will notify you if a burn ban is in effect). Fireworks are permitted strictly in accordance with local fire safety guidelines.
Extra firewood is available on-site.

Embracing Nature & Keeping Insects Out
Enjoying the Breeze: Our property is nestled in a wooded riverfront environment. To keep the interior pristine and pest-free, please keep exterior doors closed at all times.

Screened Airflow: All windows throughout the cottage are fully screened. Opening the screened windows provides a fantastic natural breeze while keeping mosquitoes, flies, and bugs outside where they belong!

Local Wildlife: You may spot local wildlife like deer, foxes, or eagles on the 18-acre estate. Enjoy watching them from a distance!

Water Equipment & Safety Disclosure
Use at Own Risk: Complimentary access to canoes, paddleboards, and accessories is provided strictly as an amenity. Guests assume all liability for personal injury, loss, or accidents resulting from use.

Mandatory Life Jackets (PFDs): Appropriately fitted PFDs (provided on-site) must be worn at all times while on the watercraft, in accordance with local safety regulations.

Weather & Water Conditions: Watercraft use is strictly prohibited during high winds, fog, thunderstorms, or strong currents. Guests are responsible for assessing conditions prior to heading out.

Supervision & Storage: Minors must be supervised by an adult at all times. All equipment must be inspected prior to use and safely returned to its designated storage spot after use.

Pet-Free Property
To maintain an allergen-free environment for all guests, we enforce a strict no-pet policy.

Guest Verification & Security
Prior to check-in, guests may be required to provide a government-issued photo ID and complete our standard guest verification screening within 24 hours of booking (or within 1 hour for same-day bookings). Information is collected strictly for screening and security purposes and is never shared. Check-in instructions are released once verification is complete.

Check-In / Check-Out Policies
Early check-in or late check-out is subject to calendar availability, prior approval, and applicable fees. Requests must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance.
