The Turia river is excellent and safe for bathing in the Pedralba area and there are also public recreational facilities with a large swimming pool, tennis courts, paddle courts and a football field. 
The city of Valencia is just 35 kms or 40 minutes away so you can also combine your stay in Pedralba with visits to the city and beach.
