Summer Finger Lakes Family Retreat

The house was fantastic. It was well stocked, very clean, and the welcome basket was a very nice surprise. We have been to the Finger Lakes 4 years in a row now and this location was perfect for all of the wineries around Pan Yan.The only thing that was different was that there were zero tv’s in the house. It does say it in the description of the house house, but it was odd. Overall this is a great place to stay, well worth the price, and we would definitely stay there again.

The house is super clean and very well stocked. We cooked dinner (on the grill) and breakfast at the house and it was really nice - great kitchen. Overall really enjoyed our stay.

Great place, indoor and out!

My friends and I stayed here for a weekend and had such a great time. It was close to several breweries with great views. The fire pit out back was used every single night, with the wood they provided. Would definitely recommend!

We were very pleased with our stay. We are a couple from Ontario and were meeting mid way up with a couple from Pennsylvania. The While Away cottage was as advertised. It was exceptionally clean and well appointed and we had a great getaway with our friends.

Immaculate place

Our stay was amazing. The place was newer, immaculate, and so cozy. The coffee bar was great. We spent lot of time on the patio enjoying the peace and quiet and taking in the backyard. Although we don’t have small children the finished playroom in the basement was adorable, and the air hockey and pool table was fun for us adults. It was the perfect place for a family vacation.

Girls weekend in the Finger Lakes

My 2 girlfriends and I spent a long weekend. This house was perfect for our stay. Plenty of space and well appointed. The back yard is beautiful. Quiet location, with just the occasional sound of a passing car or buggy. We had a great time!!

Charming cottage

This cottage was more like a home. Everything that you would want at your fingertips was there, plus so much more. Everything is super clean and updated and the owners are wonderful. We had a problem starting the fire pit, and with one phone call, the Ivan was there to replace the propane tank

Solved the March Blues

We had two (2) couples getting out of the house for a March sanity check and we had a very good weekend. The While Away Cottage is perfectly equipped to handle 3 couples, with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths The house and property is very clean - and they had everything you'd need including a fully stocked coffee bar. We are local so we know where "we are going" and this location was perfect for us. Penn Yan and a few great breweries, wineries and distilleries are 10 minutes We had a fabulous time and fully intend to book again.

Nice Getaway at Finger Lakes

This property was perfect for our long weekend at the Finger Lakes. It was close to both Keuka and Seneca Lakes and many restaurants, attractions, and wineries. The property was private with large backyard and nice large deck for entertaining. Description of house was very accurate and owner was very responsive. Neighbor across the street (owner’s parents) were very hospitable, inviting us to their nighttime sky viewing party. Overall, great all around experience in the Finger Lakes. I would highly recommend this house!

While Away Cottage

This home was absolutely beautiful. Very clean, well appointed, quiet location, just an amazing delightful getaway. My grand babies loved the playroom in the basement, especially the scooters and the air hockey table. The host was super nice and responded quickly to questions about the home. There was a lovely welcome basket upon arrival filled with homemade bread, local honey, pancake mix, local syrup, and coffee. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your lovely home. We had a wonderful time and would definitely love to stay here again on our next trip to New York.

Will rent again. Very nice house

2 couples, stayed there in mid November. House inside and out is practically brand new. Kitchen is well stocked, plenty of towels and linens. It was cold while we were there, but the outside deck is very large and spacious. Grill could use some help, and there are no TVs. Basement is a plus, but we didn't use it. Property manager lives right across the street and greeted us when we arrived to make sure everything was in order. When we come to the finger lakes, we will rent this house again.
