"This is a fantastic home! The location is amazing, right next to the Herron Island ferry dock. There is low bank waterfront and we were lucky to have a low tide and the beachcombing was excellent. The home had every amenity you could possibly need for your stay, it was clean, well organized and cozy. There were 11 of us and everyone had a comfortable place to sleep and there was lots of room to hang out. We had a great time enjoying the covered back patio and playing basketball in the driveway. It was super fun watching the ferries go back-and-forth and also watching the blue Heron! We will definitely be coming back in the future."

"The common living areas were delightful, especially the wonderful deck, with Mt. Rainier's striking gaze always present. Watching the tidal changes and small boats navigating the challenges was always great fun. The master bedroom and bath and its separate deck entrance are perfect, the downstairs bedrooms may be less so, but on warm evenings, dependably cooler without using AC. Still, mixed adult and children/pets should find there is something for everyone. The expansive lawn for racket games, etc., is unique to most VRBO offerings. Could not have been more pleased."

"Super quiet & great selection of water toys to enjoy! Be sure to catch a sunset down at the community park/beach. The hot tub was a great feature. Communication with the host was very slow coming at the start of the booking but improved by the end. Overall, a nice place to relax!"

"This place is beyond beautiful and peaceful! While we didn’t see any whales, we did see a bald eagle and multiple dear that let us hand feed them.The cabin is perfect, we really didn’t want for anything!"

"The cabin worked perfectly for our family of four. Our kiddos are 4 & 5 and loved the low tide beach time exploring all of the sea life. We were able to utilize a sleeping pad on the floor next to the bed upstairs so they could feel cozy and safe. The amount of bedding and pillows provided was a pleasant surprise. The bed was comfortable. Having the hot tub right on the sound in front of Mt. Rainier was like a post card. We also enjoyed petting and feeding the horses on the property. The Bald Eagles put on a show every morning, the seals every evening. An added bonus was the provided spices, cooking supplies, and condiments. I appreciated the k-pods for on the go coffee. Lots of thoughtful things included, I could go on and on. We used the wood burning stove on a chilly night and the outdoor fire pit. Having wood and kindling provided made it so convenient. We would absolutely stay again!"

"I’ve stayed in several vacation rentals over the years, this was the most well appointed home and the most stunning location by far. What must have been a dozen seals kept us company all weekend and slept on the dock in front of the house each night as well. The outdoor space is vast and directly on the water. The views are unforgettable. The landscaping throughout the entire property is amazing. I could go on and on, not one detail was missed. We are very grateful that we had the opportunity to stay at Shaw’s Cove Beach House."
