A little oasis

Great place, price excellent

2nd time we have stayed. Clean simple accommodation and great price. Owner is extremely responsive. Outside Property fairly well taken care of but hall ways could be kept cleaner(HOA responsibility) . When owner was contacted, immediate action was taken for both condo issues and HOA issues. We plan to stay again. All the basics are provided so if flying in you don’t have to worry about not having beach stuff. Nice pool area as well and super easy beach access.

Great beach access close to everything

Overall very clean and great beach access (less than 3 min and you don’t need to cross the street). Great setup for a family with lots of sleeping, comfortable, lots of chairs and umbrellas to take to the beach and the kitchen was easy to use and pretty well stocked. Space isn’t fancy. We went for a romantic weekend getaway but it’s a better fit for a family with kiddos. Easy 5 minutes to all the beach shops and restaurants and there’s a small complex pool that was easy to go to. Had some hiccups at check in but owner was really easy to contact and responsive.

Pensacola

Short walk to the beach, and there is a pool at the condo. Easy parking, and condo was perfect with plenty of room for our family of 6. Convenient shopping and restaurants. Weather was beautiful and you can’t beat the white, soft sand beaches. Drove to the Naval Base to see the Blue Angels perform and visit the museum. Also visited Fort Pickens.

Our fall break at Pensacola

It was our fifth time staying in the Pensacola Beach area. We love that location as our spring/fall break destination. This time we decided to choose the Heaven on Stilts condo. We love the fact that was so close to the beautiful beach. The apartment was newly renovated and nicely decorated. The kitchen was very well stocked so we were able to prepare our family meals. There was an issue with the sliding deck door but the owner warned us about that, so we were not surprised. The cleanliness of the property could be improved (it was a little to much sand everywhere :) but since we were at the beach - not big deal :) Overall we enjoyed our stay :)

Loved the place

We had a great vacation and loved the location and condo. The two bedrooms are quite nice and the beds very comfortable. We loved that there was a bath and a half bath. There were only two of us, but easily room for more. The kitchen was nice and pretty well supplied. We were on the beach side of the island with a short walk to the beach. The pictures online are exactly what you get. The picture of the property is from the balcony looking down at the pond and fountain. The property itself has a waterway and fountains heading out to the beach. We didn’t notice until the last morning, but there were 20 turtles in the waterway, visible before the fountains came on. The beach is more secluded here which we enjoyed. Every night we went out for seafood. My favorite was the Grand Marlin which was more upscale. You can watch the sunset from there. Peg Leg’s Pete’s was also very good and very inexpensive. Suggestions: Add a couple of adult full size chairs with legs as everyone does not want to sit on the ground or are able to get up up from there. A couple of extra bath mats or rugs for each entrance would be nice as no matter how much you rinse off, shake your shoes and remove your foot ware upon entry, you still bring in sand. A broom would also be nice. I borrowed one from the owner below who is renovating his place. A set of matching wine glasses and plastic ones would be great. Update the “welcome letter” which honestly isn’t very welcoming when you are told to bring toilet paper, paper towels, dishwashing detergent and trash bags. It made me wonder if I’d made a mistake in booking the place. It turned out that there were enough supplies for my daughter and I, but leaving more than one trash bag or dishwashing detergent would have been appropriate and in sync with other rentals. We only cooked breakfast twice and took our recycling to our family, but a family would likely needed more. Also, we had difficulty opening the door, as did the people who rented it before us, because the directions are incorrect. You turn the lock clockwise, toward the hinge to open, not counterclockwise as the directions indicate. The wifi information is also incorrect though the correct information is on the counter, hand written, making it a little hard to read. Overall, we loved the place and location and would definitely recommend and stay if we return. The top rack of the dishwasher is difficult to move. We didn’t figure out how to tu

Family Vacation

Heaven on Stilts was a clean and cozy retreat. Two adults and two teen girls had space to ourselves and room to get ready. We enjoyed the beach (short walk), the pool, and the ducks and turtles that greeted us from the lagoons.

BED BUGS

BED BUGS!!!! DO NOT STAY HERE! After waking up to bed bugs biting us we all had to throw away all of our belongings we brought/bought on our trip (spending a day of what was supposed to be vacation to do so), buy all new clothing, find emergency lodging somewhere else at a higher price, not to mention the psychological distress of worrying about having bugs crawling and biting you or worrying about having them hitchhike home with you. These were ADULT bed bugs meaning they had bed bugs for at least a month before maturing to this stage. All of this and this host had the audacity to offer only a partial refund.
