Great beach condo

The location of the condo can't be beat! There are plenty of restaurants nearby, in Orange beach and in Gulf shores. The beach was nice and quiet and we really enjoyed our stay. The balcony affords fabulous views!

Great stay!

We enjoyed our stay and have stayed at Wyndemere before. This is a top floor unit with great views. We like the covered reserved parking. The unit is well appointed and the only thing lacking was a hair dryer.

A perfect week in paradise!

Windemere 1505 is a beautiful beach condo in Perdido Key, FL, and it was an outstanding experience. The condo was impeccably clean, convenient, and offered stunning views of the Gulf. The location was perfect, with easy access to restaurants, local attractions and direct beach access. The amenities, including a swimming pool and hot tub were top-notch. The host was very responsive and provided excellent recommendations for local dining and activities. Overall, this condo provided the perfect blend of luxury and comfort for a relaxing beach getaway with my family. I look forward to booking this condo again! Thank you. : )

GREAT PLACE FOR A CHEAP GET AWAY

Nice place for the money. We drove down in my wife's Yukon XL. LOVED THE OVERSIZED PARKING SPACE!!! You might want to buy some new towels but not a deal killer. We brought our own. I'll go back. Already told 2 folks about the stay.

Great Location!

Our young family had an absolute wonderful time here in Condo #1505! The view from the condo and balcony is breathtaking and worth the trip every time. The amenities at the complex are fantastic with assigned covered parking spot, pool, hot tub, etc. that we took advantage of. Only compliant I would give is the lack of WiFi consistency in the room. I had to reset the WiFi almost every day in order for my kids to watch Netflix during some down time in the room. Other than that it was absolutely perfect for our family of 4! Can’t wait to visit again in the future:)

Great Stay

Clean, medium size complex. Surprisingly not too crowded for week of Labor Day. Just the Wife and I and this place was more than enough. It is two nice size bedrooms with master having really comfy king and second having 2 twins. First comment is the place was very clean. Being right on the gulf you expect some weather impact but no excuses for being dirty and this unit was really clean upon arrival. Vacasa made it very easy for arrival. Email and texts with everything we needed regarding door codes, special considerations, even weather for our stay. Got 4 days of great weather and really enjoyed all amenities at beach and pool. Lots of activities, restaurants, and entertainment very close by. Highly recommend. Being on 15 floor offered full visibility up and down the coast with little noise issue of being lower.

Beautiful Beach View

Lovely condo right on the beach. 15th floor view was spectacular. We visited in October and it was not crowded at all. Enjoyed the pool and balcony. We found a locally owned boutique, Barefoot Gypsy, and recommend you check it out. Bedrooms are adequate in size and we were happy to discover beach towels are included. We had an issue with the dishwasher. It is not installed properly and everytime we pulled out the bottom shelf it fell out of the track. Hopefully that is a quick fix for the owners. Perdido Key is located near Orange Beach and we took a ride town and visited Hope's Cheesecake. You will not be disappointed with the key lime and peanut butter cheesecakes.

Overall nice place

I would give 5 stars but we did have a few issues. The pullout couch did not have a sheet and there were no blankets so I had to go buy some, and my son also said it was very uncomfortable so I ended up buying an air mattress. The other beds were very comfortable though. We had difficulty connecting to the internet, and of course my teenagers were not happy about that. We were told that we didn't need parking passes and that there were 2 designated parking places but there was only one and everyone else had parking passes. The kitchen was nice and equipped but the oven cooked really slow. Also, the door stopped locking itself behind us when we left. It sounded like it was locking but it didn't. One thing that would really benefit this unit is some hooks or racks to hang towels and bathrobes. We really did enjoy our stay and hope to go back.

Great location, but maintenance issues

The location was great. The garage was hard to maneuver with so many walls and was hard to find our parking spot, which there was only one instead of two which was listed. The condo itself had cute beachy decorations. But the upkeep of the place was not good. We couldn't figure out how to lock the door at first due to no instructions, we figured out you put in the same code, but still wasn't locking, finally realized the door was not flush and had to pull the handle to line up the hole with the bolt to get it to lock. The dishwasher was missing wheels on the bottom rack, the washing machine had mold in it, and the dryer had so much lint and sand in the lint catcher you couldn't close it, and I was scared to use it because it looked like a fire hazard. There were no potholders, only two dish towels, and no medium frying pan as listed and the ice machine was jammed and couldn't get any ice out of the door. I will have to say the company was very responsive when I called and took care of most of the issues right away which is impressive since it was labor day weekend.

I was on a business trip/ pleasure trip with my wife. It was my birthday week so we took the time to pick and plan for this unit. We had this Unit booked and paid in advance due to business meetings, etc. On the day we’re traveling down, we were one hour away, a Beach Getaway representative calls us to let’s us know the unit we had prepaid and planned was not available due to maintenance. Remember, we’re now under an hour before we were to arrive for our preplanned week. They offered other unit options … (we had previously looked at when we were preplanning- non we would have rented with time) … they presented this as if they were doing us a favor. With less than an hour away now, with no real choice, we picked another unit. I’ll mention here, the representative helping us was sincerely doing her best, yet this company was obviously limited on their options to respond to such a last minute change. Trying to work with the time frame given to us, while driving down for our week, and considering a couple of options given to us, we choose another unit. Once there, the unit was mediocre at best. This unit offered to us unfortunately had issues of its own; the beds were old and uncomfortable, the tv in the living room did nothing but buffer due to its internet connection. We reached out to the rental office. They told us there was nothing they could do. The bottom line is we can’t recommend this unit, the owner, nor this rental company, Hopefully it’s a learning experience for all.

Beautiful View BUT DIRTY & WORN

This condo had a fantastic view and location. The beach access was easy and the pool very nice and clean. Overall, Windemere was a great property. Now for some criticisms of 1505. When we arrived, we dropped our things, took in the view, then headed out for dinner. When we returned and began unpacking we noticed how dirty and beat up the place was. I called Vacasa and reported with pictures of stains on the walls, dust, and dirt. They did send cleaners out the next day. Someone sloshed wine all over the kitchen, patio, and patio furniture. Vacasa did clean but whoever cleaned before us did a awful job. The condo itself needs painting and upkeep. The walls are all scratched and beat up/dirty. Kitchen cabinets are broken. The kitchen is stocked VERY minimally, so lots of hand washing. No oven mits. No area rugs or mats anywhere to help control sand. Sand was a battle the entire time despite our best efforts. The TV’s in the bedrooms DO NOT WORK. Vacasa or hosts did not respond to me on this after inquiring the first night Beware if you drive a SUV or truck! The parking is TERRIBLE and tight. Huge concrete turns that are far too tight. Windemere itself is fantastic. But we essentially paid for a view. This was our one big family vacation this year and we did not get what we paid for. I always book through Vacasa and have never had issues before. Vacasa needs to hold this host and your janitorial accountable. This one missed the mark.

Perfect for our family!

Our stay was wonderful. The master bedroom had plenty of room for a pack-n-play. We were even able to put it in the master bathroom as well. Spacious enough for us to have space in the unit and not be too crowded. We had 3 adults and 2 children in our group. We liked the close proximity to nas pensacola so we could go watch the blue angels practice. Would definitely like to come back!
