"The riad is lovely and well kept. The room is nice and comfortable. Very good breakfast with local staples (msemen, batbout, amlou, Berber omelet). At check-in, Eriko took the time to share the map of the city with her personalized recommendations. A couple of days before, she reached out to check if I needed airport transportation which I thought was a nice touch. Great location in the north of the Medina, very close to the taxi drop middle school (collège) Mohamed V. I liked the nearby shops more than the ones in the souk. "

"Riad Karmela at heart of medina, run by a team full of heart Eager to escape the end of the harsh British winter and keen for some early spring sunshine, we opted to go to Marrakech for a week. We picked this Riad because of its location and aesthetic and it did not disappoint. Situated in the Azbezt area of the medina, it is a few minutes’ walk from all the hustle and bustle of the souks and is excellent for all your needs as a tourist in the city. It is close to most of the main attractions and no more than 10-15 minutes walk from excellent restaurants. We took advantage of the transfers arranged by the hotel which was an excellent idea, as they bring you as close to the hotel as is physically possible. Walking down the narrow street to the fairy lit tunnel entrance, you enter the hotel and find an absolute oasis of peace and quiet. The riad is beautifully decorated in a traditional style, with several small courtyards that guests can rest in and shelter from the sun and the city. The roof of the hotel has many chairs and loungers for people who wish to worship the sun. The rooms were brilliantly furnished, with great facilities. The bed was amazingly comfortable with wonderful pillows we wish we could have kept! The breakfast every day was an excellent buffet, with an enormous range of tasty treats and delights on offer, including a wide range of hot and cold drinks. "I was really impressed by the artistic decorations and tranquility feeling of the hotel. The staff are professional and friendly. We originally planned to have hammam at the site, but as the heating was not working very well, the hotel refunded our money. The one-hour full body message was great!"

"The room didn’t seem very clean but it could also be the rustic style of the hotel. We didn’t stay very long so didn’t get to experience the rooftop, spa or breakfast. Location is in the central Medina but makes it hard to enter with luggage as cars can’t reach the riad "

"Ibrahim from Riad Azrur went out of his way again and again for us. Not only is the property centrally located and convenient for walking around the Medina, but it is beautiful with plenty of spaces to relax including a rooftop patio. Our flight arrived late at night and Ibrahim arranged for an airport pickup and, on our departure date, airport drop off (for an extra fee). He gave us a dinner recommendation when we arrived back late from a tour and went out of his way to offer help and recommend activities during our short stay. The spaces are lovely and Ibrahim is a wonderful host. "
