Fantastic stay

Fantastic stay! We travelled as a family of four and stayed in a family chalet. Everything was spotless and clean and the staff were very friendly. The grounds were beautifully kept and overall a really enjoyable stay. Would definitely recommend and will be back!

Best lodge ever

When we arrived and went to reception to check it the lady was very welcoming and professional and friendly she explained about the lodge and what was available and gave us the keys to our lodge when to the lodge it was absolutely stunning very clean fresh and perfect the hot tib was maintained each morning and all staff were availbale if we needed anything this place is the best lodge we have stayed in 100% recommended

Could do with a small shop or cafe. Everything else was good for both adults and kids. Cleaners pay attention when cleaning after last guest there was a tupperware in the drawers beside bed with half eating cakes.

Avoid!!!

We arrived to be told that the hotel did not have a booking under our name despite us paying for this in advance. Extremely disappointed and still awaiting a refund for this.

Avoid like the plague!!

The whole experience was horrendous. Firstly, they took a £100 deposit, which i was aware off. Now, around 3 weeks later i am chasing constantly for a refund. Everytime i get told it will be sorted. No one had EVER got back about this. I am now havjng to consider legal action. Nextly, we arrived on a saturday and there was a wedding on. We were placed next to the venue and the music was horrendously loud. Pumping bass into the chalet until 12 midnight!! I have videos and recordings to show how bad it was. I contacted hotels.com and the business refused to refund the night. I then contacted the business 4 times explaining and offering to send them the video files. I have had a single response regarding this. It was so loud my family were unable to sleep. It is not the quiet place they say. Also, they close the hottubs at 9pm, and ask you to be quiet and then pump loud music into your chalet. Different rules for wedding. If i had knownz there is no way i would book. Considering action against the business as it was not cheap.

Sat in hot tub on drive with workmen walking past

Place was clean and done to a nice standard but I wouldn’t say it was overly relaxing stay. Outdoor space is poor; no privacy & uncomfortable bistro style chairs & table. a couple of flower pots would make it look nicer. No views really; parked car or fence. Images are misleading. Hot tub isn’t ‘private’ in the sense of privacy as it is next to where you park your car and everyone sees you when they walk past, same with when sat on sofa in chalet (big windows for everyone to look in and watch you breastfeeding your daughter). By everyone I mean the constant flow of workmen on site driving and walking around. Also the hot tub can only be used 10am - 9pm (security check & take away deposit if you use out , I do strongly believe this information should be disclosed before booking in the policy and info section as had we known that we wouldn’t have booked. My infant baby doesn’t go down to bed until 8.30pm at present. Would have liked to use first thing in morning but you aren’t allowed to until it has been treated. The distance between our chalet and the one next to us was only two car parking spaces so you can hear each other very easily. the neighbours bedroom window overs the hot tub and table. Thankfully with hotel.com member and NHS discount I didn’t pay full price, even what I paid I don’t think it was worth it. Wouldn’t stay again. Could be so much nicer is spaced out and some privacy and better outside space. Plus be more transparent about hot tub use.
