"No working shower in room, hot breakfast took 45 mins to refill, no internet, check in staff at night was wonderful, morning staff didn’t acknowledge me as I waited at front desk. "

"Breakfast and room was good. The breakfast staff are on top of things and so friendly. Random that our standard queen room had a full-sized house fridge at the foot of the bed…. Completely out of place and odd. The pool needs tile work but the kids enjoyed the combo of going inside and outside. The hot tub needed to be emptied completely and started over.. the water clarity was scary and over chlorinated. Overall though I’d give it a 7:10. "

"This is a hotel that was built in 1919. It is very old and has been beautifully updated and care for. I really enjoyed my stay at this beautiful place near the downtown area of McAllen. The staff were all excellent and very helpful. "
