Liked: Location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Communication
The only communication was through Vue, which was great throughout the process, even with the issues listed below. Day 1, I was stung by a wasp as I was trying to enter the front door, due to a nearby nest. There was a masked mold smell in the house as the basement has water issues. The air freshener on the living room fan was hilarious. Upon entering the garage, a smell of death was noted inside, later determined to be from the trash can during day 2. I went to open the garage door and noted there is no arm from the operator to the door. I manually opened the door and the roller on the bottom panel came out, rendering the door from shutting safely. On day 2, the remaining guests arrived and nearly fell off the deck on top of the boathouse, as the railing is poorly constructed. Shortly after, my youngest son ended up getting swimmers itch from the lake (which is no fault on the owners). Next was the out of control ceiling fan, which wobbled severely on the lowest setting. Lastly, the trash can in the garage birthed about 200 flies/maggots, which I moved outside and left the garage door open to get the flies out. With all the mentioned issues I broke down and contacted Vue for assistance. Their Maintenance guy Christopher showed up and helped out with the wasp nest, garage and trash issue. He was awesome and made the trip fun again! Otherwise the house/property was great for our needs but it definitely needs updating and drainage solutions for the basement.
