"The house was beautiful! Amazing view. The rooms were clean. Kitchen was stocked for cooking. We enjoyed the hot tub. We didn’t realize there was no AC (our fault for missing it on the listing). But the host was responsive and we opened the windows up which cooled it down nicely. "

"We had a great stay at the Phillips Lake Lodge. The house was well stocked with everything you would need. The lake is very nice and swimmable. We also were catching a ton of fish off the dock. Although you can see the neighbors house, it still felt very private & secluded. We would definitely consider staying here again. "

"Extremely relaxing. Very peaceful setting. House was as described. We enjoyed having dinners on the back deck, going for kayaks in Pickering Passage, and enjoying the hot tub. The view from the kitchen and dining room are just beautiful. Our last day, there was a seal sunning itself all day on one of the docks in the water. My husband was able to work a few days from one of the work desks at the house. Took one star off from location as there isn't much going on in the nearest small town. If you are looking for a little peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this is the place for you!"

"First the bad...After arriving and putting our things away, we found dog poop on the floor upstairs by the TV area. Unacceptable. If they didn't ensure that dog poop was removed, what else wasn't cleaned? The overall cleanliness wasn't great, but this is an older cabin and some of that is understandable...but not dog poop. The managing company says they will refund us the cleaning fee. The communication with the manager was not great...often feeling like we were speaking to AI. Before we got there, we asked if there were lifejackets available (since the property had kayaks) and were told no. So, we purchased a lifejacket. When we arrived, we found a basket full of lifejackets. The listing says there are 2 kayaks, but there are actually 5-6 kayaks. We brought 2 kayaks with us and probably wouldn't had the listing been accurate. Now the good...The location is great. Water access with use of kayaks is great and we took advantage of that. It's a very quiet neighborhood and that was great. The big decks and outdoor space is great. Overall...I hope the cleaning issue gets resolved, because this is a great location and our viewpoint might have been different had dog poop not been our first experience. "
