"Good value for the price in Hanmer. Double bed with bunk above it was completely unusable due to squeaking (it’s a metal frame with wire base). Bathroom (especially toilet) wasn’t super clean, floor definitely needed a mop and there were lots of dead bugs on windowsills etc (the windows were closed). We stayed in a tourist flat and could hear literally everything next door so wouldn’t be good for light sleepers. Fine place to stay if you are just after a bed and somewhere to shower."

"We loved our stay at the gateway motel very clean; staff were amazing we had a very enjoyable time. We had two meals at the restaurant the food was great, and the staff were very helpful we are looking to our next trip to Hanmer and staying at the gateway I would recommend a nice, relaxing place to stay"
